Literally what did this guy do wrong, exactly?
>>
he has a nigger voice

Nothing. He had bore the destructive capabilities of humanity but the movie was like "BUT HE ATTACKED THE MAN AND BURNT HIMSELF BECAUSE HUMANS WOULD NEVER HAVE HURT HIM IF HE'D STAYED AWAY!" or something.

This movie was nice to look at but goddamn some of the dialogue felt jarringly out of place.

someone in this thread said "she's a metaphor" and deleted the post. why would someone do that?
>>
>>69086766
He tried to kill Mowgli and every other animals that tried to stop him.
>>
>>69086766
In this movie? Murdered the leader of the wolf pack in cold blood to further his own motives. It should be added the wolves were wanting to parlay peace.

Also: was the one responsible for Mowgli seeking out fire in the first place.

Sheer Kahn acted out of fear and jealousy, he didn't wanted to be knocked from his perch at the top of the food chain.

>MFW Jon Favreau's Khan is voiced by Bagglebane Cragglesnach
>>
>>69087172
Nope, Khan was voiced by Elba in Favreau's version.

Bendthatbitch Cumsonbitches voices him in the other version.
>>
Didn't the wolves mention how he never followed the rules of the jungle, mostly killing for sport
>>
>>69087360
Why is there 2 versions coming out?
>>
>>69087450
Because it's public domain now, so Disney made theirs and another studio is doing theirs too.

>expecting sympathy from a predator

What he did wrong was being a violent alpha beast that tried to kill something that was smart enough to kill him back. Every other animal was smart enough to avoid giving man a reason to kill them.
>>
>>69087042
he was a MAN CUB not a man faggot
>>
>>69087360

Fuck me, I meant to type Andy Serkis.

Brittledick Cunnybatch voices Khan in Andy Serkis's Jungle Book.
>>
Khan protected the jungle from man. He knew how dangerous the red flower is and gave his life protecting his home. He was ultimately betrayed by his fellow animals for his vigilance.
>>
>>69086895
So it acted like a predator?
>>
>>69087825

Sheer Khan intentionally murdered animals for the sole purpose of infuriating a man cub who he knew was capable of endangering the jungle. Kahn's an animal just like any other and his dominant nature led to everything bad that happened in that jungle. He fucked with a human who was entirely merciful and non-violent until he proved to that human he needed to be put down, and that's what he did. Kahn wanted to prove that humans are animals and that he himself had a right to dictate the law of other creatures, but he was wrong.
>>
>>69087858

Yep. And he died like the beast he was when he mistook a greater predator for his prey.
>>
He was boss
>>
>>69088003
A cub is non-violent until it is fully grown. Khan knew that as soon as mowgli became a man he'd ruin the natural order of the jungle. Sure, Khan was selfish in protecting his dominant position but he'd also never have the ability to cause destruction on the scale that man does.
>>
>>69088308

Mowgli was deathly scared of fire throughout the entire movie, even risked death against King Louie to avoid using it. It was only by Sheer Kahn's intentional murder of Mowgli's surrogate father that Mowgli took up the flame. Only Kahn made Mowgli use the flame.

And the most important thing to remember is that the Jungle has a plan for the arrival of fire. The elephants redirected the river and saved the jungle. This was all a part of the natural order. Sheer Kahn simply put himself in the line of fire by claiming an unnatural dominance over Man. He tgouht he could create his own Law and he was wrong.
>>
>>69088493
mowgli's father's murder was justice for the mass destruction of the jungle. Khan may have been overzealous but even the rest of the animals knew that mowgli didn't belong with the rest of them. He'd ultimately out match them all including the elephants. The original got it better by allowing mogwli to return to the man village.
>>
>>69088986

Khan was right to make the animals return Mowgli to the human village, he was wrong to try to murder Mowgli when he was already going back to civilization. If Khan didn't seperate Mowgli from the panther then he would have gotten where he was going just fine, Then Khan baits Mowgli into a fight and is actually happy with himself when that bait leads Mowgli into accidentally starting a fire in the jungle. Sheer Kahn does not care about the jungle, he cares about only himself, like a tiger would, and how he can eliminate threats to his dominance. He became scared when Mowgli's father was able to hurt him and he is literally and figuratively scarred by that experience in a way that made Mowgli's existence somwrging that threatened his self-proclaimed dominance.

And realistically the kid's eight or something. He now truly knows the danger of fire and the finale of the movie makes it abundantly clear he knows he's a human and not a wolf or any other animal. If he stays in the jungle he'll do so without trying to burn everything down, but it's highly believable he'd enter human society at some point also. Either way he's not a threat to the jungle any more than an animal who can defend itself against another is.

Sheer Khan wants to kill Mowgli before he can become a man. Instead, Khan turns Mowgli into a man, beyond his wildest understanding of what a man is, through his actions in the movie. Khan made himself a threat to the entire jungle, and turned Mowgli into a man who was righteous and capable of putting him down.
>>
In the original Sher Khan represented the Indian nobility that was violently trying to resist the social modernization being introduced by the British.
>>
>>69086766
He killed Mufasa
>>
Shere Khan knew that when Mowgli hit puberty he would be driven mad by the lack of pussy and would go Elliot Rodger on the whole jungle. His inability to get any "red flower" (pussy; it's an allegory) would lead him to burn down everything.
>>
>says Mowgli will inevitably burn down the jungle
>Mowgli eventually burns down half the jungle

ah yes, very impressive

also
>scared of fire
>runs into the jungle that is on fire
>>
>>69089629
no it didn't. kipling wrote the books as stories for his children.

the unemployed literature majors rolled in afterwards to add subtext to his books that were never intended.
>>
>>69086766
In the original the humans reject mowgli and the elephants trash the village
