Why does Interstellar get so much flak from edgelords for using love as a main theme when Solaris does the same thing?

it's the one flaw in the movie, and it was obviously intentional. no one wants to complain about magical portals to blackhole solar sysems to migrate too by flying away earth instead of fixing the crops or moving to mars
but yeah
love was the flaw.
we get it.
>comparing Solaris to Interstellar in any way

>love as the main theme
>Solaris does the same thing
Jesus christ did you even pay attention?

Forget it anon, it's plebtown.

>moving to mars
are you 12?

>well executed and in tone with the rest of the movie
>comparing it to interstellar

Instead they build giant spaceship/office buildings under ground on the hopes that eventually Soizuva Tahngurine would figure out how to solve the gravity equation. The one that's wrong, that no one ever bothered to check the math on.
Not to mention, what about hermetically sealed greenhouses with plants raised from the numerous seed vaults kept all over the world just in case shit happens?
Nope, we're going to pretend like we never went to the moon, and that popcorn is a weird snack at a ballgame.
There could be a really good movie burried in that mess, but Nolan is just such a sloppy fuck in love with himself, and refuses to edit his movies.

Seems like you didn't. OP is right, Tarkovsky fags will try to damage control this to no avail.

the movie has problems, but you're just nitpicking
>>69080518
Its not nitpicking when almost every choice made by the characters in the movie is motivated by "we need to get to the next scene." There are entire chunks of that movie you could cut out entirely and it wouldn't affect the story being told and would probably heighten the tension and emotional response without having to resort to the score telling you what you're supposed to be feeling.
It's the 2001:The Plane Scene, and as soon as you examine like any part, or character motivation, you're left scratching your head and wondering why anyone would do such a thing. It is a movie, it gets a threshold for my suspension of disbelief, but any movie that makes you scream questions at the movie isn't a traditionally "good" movie.
