x265 only works better for sd content. In 2016 if you're watching a bluray rip you really should be watching an x264 encoded source. x265 is getting better but for HD content now x264 will produce better quality. If you really don't give a shit then that's fine, x265 will suit anyone looking for ok quality for its size.
