Hollywood has given people a misconception of what a real brawl/fight looks like. The fight at the end of S2 between Jack and Hannibal obviously had some unrealistic Hollywood in it, but overall it's a pretty realistic fight.
They brawl and use the tools around them. There is no finesse about it. Like a real fight. It's actually a great juxtaposition because the rest of the series is incredibly refined and finessed.

There are parts of early episodes that are literally scene-by-scene rehashes of the film. The cinematography is fucking impeccable, but it just didn't sit right with me.

And everyone was also had even more robotic "fancy pants" dialogue than usual. By the end of S1 and 2, which definitely had a lot of that too albeit more paced out, I had had my fill of it. So it was really tedious when there was only one scene in the entire season where they talked like real humans.

They definitely should've saved Verger as the final boss of the series. Killed him way too early. With Hannibal caught at the end of season 2, the first few episodes of season 3 could've been Hannibal's trial with Verger using his political influences to get him the death penalty. Could've had some cool shit with Chilton conspiring with Hannibal to get his insanity defense, then they could've gotten into Red Dragon, SotL and Hannibal.
If the show ever does continue it's gonna be strange because they do want to do the SotL storyline. Hannibal has already been imprisoned and escaped. So he's gonna get imprisoned yet again only to inevitably escape for a second time? Doesn't work.
