i used to think this was the scariest movie ever
>>69033189
why? the creepy midget kid?
I mean I like that movie, but compared to all the other horror movies we had access to it was nothing.
>>69033250
ditto, idk why but the scene where that chick gets her lips glued gave me a nightmare
>>69033250
that scene where he cuts off her finger with that clipper
Independence day, came out when i was 10, watced it nearly every day for about a year once it came out on VHS
>>69033189
dog soldiers was my shit. Remember when scifi (scifi, not SCYFY) used to pick a movie and show on repeat for a solid month?
>>69033189
and from dusk till dawn later on.
>>69034596
>from dusk till dawn
What a piece of shit that is.
>>69034622
>National-Socialist dad
>Obsessed with Nazi Germany
>Played Wehrmacht marching songs every weekend
>We would often watch Triumph Des Willens together
No one else could possibly know this feel
This and the Friday the 13th series in general.
>>69033876
i remember staying up super late (att the time) to watch this on film4, snuck down stairs at like 1 am. god damn it's such a fucking good movie. that scene when they're running through the forest and the werewolves are silhouetted against the trees is terrifying
I remember watching this multiple times a day when I was a kid, it was fascinating for some reason.
Batman Forever and The Mask
>>69034946
All the shilling on /tv/ has convinced me to watch it, it better be good or I'm holding you accountable.
>tfw didn't grow up to be a fighter pilot
feels bad man
>>69033876
I love Dog Soldiers so much. But while I'm ok with it being a cult-classic it still beats the SHIT out of all the action-horror movies of that era. Resident Evil, Underworld etc, that went on to be huge.
>>69033250
It's a really good horror movie. People just tend to disregard it coz Paris Hilton's in it.
Sissy Spacek is so innocent and I just wanted to protect her and have my own powers to destroy the other bullies with.
I was picked on as a kid so it was the ultimate revenge fantasy for me but Sissy was also an amazing waifu.
>>69035092
the first act is genuinely fucking amazing, it probably falls apart in the later film, but i didn't notice this the first time. and now whenever i watch i just get all sad and wish i was a kid again
SAW for some reason
Titanic
I cried when they killed the evil baby snowballs. It's such an oddly emotional scene to have in a ridiculous movie.
>Oh hey cable is showing this new live action movie based on the cartoon and comic I like! But it's on in the middle of the night..
>Please tape it mom and dad! It's gonna be like TMNT!
It really, really wasn't like TMNT. I used to watch it every day and never told them how insanely fucking brutal it was.
>>69035219
Let's see how it turns out, I expected it to be a /tv/ joke at first seeing how low budget the movie appears to be but I'll give it a shot.
>>69035301
Mah nigga, this movie was fucking fantastic as a kid.
It still is, only now it's just hilariously bad at the same time.
Absolutely obsessed. The fact that there were associated action figures probably helped a lot too.
>>69035356
make a thread after you finish
i'd love to get a discussion
>>69035411
I will, it's Europoor times for me though so it'll only be tomorrow.
>>69035301
Hot sweat dripping down your face
Muscles working overtime
>>69035092
It's really great, tense as shit at times. Great cast of characters and fantastic werewolf effects. They look and are terrifyingly strong.
>>69033189
I watched it over 20 times one summer.
>>69035547
only werewolf i've ever seen to genuinely look scary, they pulled it off so well
Men in Black 1
>>69033189
This probably dates me, but what the Hell.
Still obsessed with it, and patiently waiting for a restored blu-ray.
>>69035396
I remember liking the sex and tits, but still being actually for real disturbed by it.
I must've been like 8 when this went down.
It's still fucked up to me.

Yeah, me with F13. I can tell you the plot to all x12 movies in which JV appears.
My fedora is my collection of Jason hockey masks.
>>69035191
Mind if you provide age?? I'm curious to whether you saw this in its original run, or later on.
this one
>>69035301
Glad to see another Troma freak here!!
By any chance did you see Citizen Toxie? It really captured what the original had (as did Terror Firmer).
>>69035790
Friend's older brother showed us VIII before we had pubes and messed us up. I still that movie as well. 6 is still my favorite though. God Tier slasher.
Obsessed & not sure why. Must've watched it 100 times.
>>69035407
I remember my friend had a sweet Slamfist figure
>>69035790
It had such a profoundly negative impact on my psyche but I really do appreciate all that is showed me too. Plus II and V have maybe the two greatest fap scenes in horror history
this and Die Hard 3
>>69035844checked
saw it on a later run, my uncle lived with us briefly and had a great VHS collection that included carrie. i put it in one of those blank VHS cases to hide and would watch it most friday nights when my parents went out
>like 10
>visit granny
>gives me a $10 as a gift
>way back home stop as shithole
>2 for $10 VHS tapes
>one of the movies I get is The Evil Dead
Thanks. That was one of those movie that I watched and then had to call my friends hyped as piss yelling "No you don't understand you have to see this!" good times.
>>69036175
my niggy
To be fair I'm still obsessed
>>69035908
Is it wrong that I wanna bang Sweetie Honey?
>>69035708
I love all the Doug Mclure vs Giant rubber monster movies
Shame this doesnt have an R1 release
>>69036041
I saw II in the theater around 9 years old. Single most terrifying thing in my life. For some reason that terror was replaced with obsession. Seen every one on opening night in the theater (with the exception of the first).
Agree with the fap scene from 2! What's the one in V? V, btw, being incredibly underrated (took me many years to admit that...for the obvious reason).
>>69036495
The sex scene in the woods with the chick who had grade A 80s boobs.
And yeah V is criminally underrated, in my opinion the second film people should watch when they want to get into the series
>>69034752
>>69036218
Glad to see you could appreciate such a classic. The casting was just superb. Even Travolta killed it! As an old horror hound, I'm worried that some of the classics just won't appeal to younger viewers.
I grew up watching a lot of the older Hammer films (due to limited offerings) and have never had anything against the oldies (or black & white). Talking with some of the new horror fans, makes me wonder if we're ever gonna have a real resurgence again...
>>69036407
Not at all. My favorite line from the first one"
"Always did want to cornhole me a blind bitch!"
Now that's writing!!
>>69036495
>>69036659
>V, btw, being incredibly underrated
>criminally underrated
INFUCKINGDEED! It's insanely underrated. I gotta say it's the best in the franchise. And to be a slasher done by a porn director with drooling sleaziness in every frame has everything to do with it. Absolutely love ANB
>>69036494
Agreed. I have a pretty good collection, and this is my fucking white whale. I've never even seen a bootleg at some of the rare video places I scour.
Granted it's on jewtube, but I want my own official copy, dammit.
>>69036180
watched this for the first time the other week. it holds up. the beginning is terrifying, when it's set during the day. can anyone recc some other daytime horror movies?
>>69037034
>watched this for the first time the other week
>it holds up
>>69037076
i meant that it doesn't feel dated
>>69037034
The Hills Have Eyes (2006 remake)
Dust Devil (is an absolute 90's gem)
>>69037034
Texas Chainsaw Massacre is the GOAT
>>69037163
>The Hills Have Eyes (2006 remake)
also hysterically good.
>>69037645
Texas Chainsaw Massacre may be a good daytime horror film but THIS SCENE OH BOY
>>69035007
This holds up very well. Still absolutely based. Shame about the sequel though.
