I refuse to believe a man as cruel as Roose would let himself be killed like this. He would get rid of Ramsey the second it is confirmed its a boy.
But the books has this strange connection between the shining in Roose eyes and dreadfort that I never really understood. It seems that from all his kids, only Ramsey enhireted that from him and his eyes are supposed to give of this pale blue glow the moment he becomes lord of the dreadfort. Thats why he didnt get rid of ramsey yet.
