I just figured most of /tv/ was 15 or 16 and everyone else had moved on.
The main actress is a total QT but the movie isn't really that good.
The female lead in this movie is actually also the main antagonist in Babylon A.D.
Why didn't this get more traction than it did? It was a Pixar movie.

Obviously, I'm not the only one to see this movie but I'm a fan of 2001 and 2010 movies and books. Although, it was the Chinese visiting in the 2010 book and a Russian probe in the movie it was nice to actually get a visual idea of what happened down there.

Why didn't any of the hundreds of people that witnessed the heist call the police about the bus that just crashed through the bank wall and drove away? To be quite unironically honest, TDK's opening scene makes way less sense than TDKR's.

Because they had grenades in their hands, and the silent alarm was intercepted. Also the bus gave him just enough time to ditch the crime scene; by the time the cops entered the building and asked the hostages where he went, he'd have switched vehicles and gone somewhere else.

I saw it when I was like ~12, ever since then I've been fond of killer whales. Fuck I might watch it now.
>>69007661
They're my favorite animal I think. If you don't count dinosaurs. It's pretty close. After I saw them at SeaWorld when I was 9 they scared me shitless. I was right up against the glass (back when that was allowed) and when it swam by it was like 4 times my height, this giant black monster, so much water poured over me I thought I was gonna get swept in. Still scared shitless of them to this day, but fuck, they're so rad.
I guess me liking this movie isn't really related to my love of the animal though. It's just pretty fucking good regardless.

They need to go Blade Runner on it and make another Director's cut of this film. The potential left off the table was huge and even the current Director's cut leaves me wanting so much more.
It still remains one of my favorite movies to this day but man I want more.
>>69003935
I have the "Unrated" cut, is there a different, even more extended cut?
>>69009726
and what the fuck are you talking about, how much of this movie was left on the cutting room floor?
I know this was popular (but hated). It was hated, and would have done better at the box office if the reviews weren't garbage.
Therefore I consider my opinion rare when I say that I fucking loved it. The lore and story and how much the comics were referenced (and as someone who does read and love DC comics) makes me love this masterpiece of a film. I do not care and will not respond if my opinion offends you.
>>69009644

>>69009813
I liked it, but it wasn't that great. If WW and Doomsday weren't in it, and the fight between Superman and Batman was a tie and not a Batgod stomp, I would have liked it a lot more. WW should have been a brief cameo like The Flash and shit and Doomsday should have just been teased at in the end by Lex Luthor or whatever.

No, that's retarded. When the trailer came out and I heard Eisenberg "Red capes are coming" and just being generally cringey, I was dreading him in this movie, but he turned out to be pretty cool. I didn't mind him at all. I might have said I thought he was great but he did go a little off the rails in the end with "PRAISE THE COMING DARKNESS HE WILL BE HERE SOON" etc. That was pretty gay, but he was overall fine and tolerable.

>>69009783
>how much of this movie was left on the cutting room floor?
Quite a bit. The director was absolutely furious when the film released, as 20th Century Fox butchered it in post without his knowledge. Another problem was that Fox was straight up his ass even while filming. The director said it was the worst time he ever had making a movie.

That's why he cares about Darkseid.
