What do you think about the Fast & Furious series?
>>
Ruined
>>
Saved by the new ones which turned it from lame race movies to over the top insane spy/action movies.

I'd probably say:
6>5>7>3>1>4=2
>>
I literally don't understand why anyone likes them. How the fuck did 6 break the billion dollar club?
>>
fun
>>
>>68985229
its fun
its kind of like a kid playing with action figures, and someone filmed and adapted it.

You just summed up Michael Bay's entire career.

Then watch kids playing with toys on youtube. J/k but I never got a "fun" vibe from them.
>>
The prequel is the best movie of the franchise.

The difference in my opinion is that Micheal Bay movies are shot terribly and give me a headache/give me nausea. The camera is way too zoomed in on the action so its all shaky, plus Micheal Bay movies are usually taking themselves either too seriously or are too stupid that it feels like Bay thinks his audience is retarded and wont notice or care. In the F&F movies it feels like the audience is in on the "joke" and the makers of the movies know that, it feels much less insulting. Idk, its a weird subtle difference between a fun dumb movie and just a dumb movie.

The newer ones are just so silly its great.
>fighting tanks with racecars
>parachuting with racecars
>driving out of skyscrapers
>>
It rules. I'm so happy I dropped all pretense and watched the whole series because it's delightful.

1 > 2 > 6 > 5 > 3 > 7=4

his character is supposed to be in high school and he's like 35 now

5 is way better than 6.
>>

I've only ever seen the first one, 5, 6 and 7.

As others have mentioned somewhere along the way it turned into a fun, ensemble, Americanised 90's Bond with more emphasis on the car just for the sake of the name.

The cast have chemistry which shows, because while it's trashy as fuck it's still fun.

Don't you have some obscure and/or foreign art house movie to watch?
>>
I've only watched Tokyo Drift and I loved that movie. I keep forgetting to watch the others; I'll start today.

Dumb and fun buddy movies.

Worst one was the one that was primarily about street racing and even that had to involve the yakuza for no fucking reason.

Same reason Bond films (used) to be so good. Fun and silly so it doesn't matter if they're dumb.
>>
>>68986078
Hardly. Maybe it's because I don't like "car movies" but I just don't see how they keep making a ton of money this deep into sequel territory.
>>
>>68985229
car porn
which now is more like car porn + heist movie
>>
1st one was classic.

The remaining ones were mostly shit with some occasional nice moments.

But even the first one, was a little bit parody.
>>
What's the difference between my windows and Paul Walker? I give a shit when the former crashes.
On a serious note though, I loved the series when I was 12-13 so now they just bring sort of nostalgia to me. The last two were really bad, 5 was ok, and tokyo drift was the most horrifying one, my favorites will remain the first two movies
>>
The first one has some genuinely great camerawork.
>>
The 1st and 3rd are the best because they are the only ones about actually racing cars. #2 is also good.

then theres a major POWER GAP where all the others are difference variations of shit, but if I HAD to pick em I'd say 7 >4 >5 > 6
