Other than that it's kind of weirdly undecided on whether it wants to be "Borat" or "Network".
The book had a lot more going on and both have a dumb sort of agenda, but I still enjoy it's face value as a comedy.
I did find it odd that the movie added Hitler repeatedly making the argument that "Things weren't all bad back then, you know". Is this meant to de-legitimize some sort of political sentiment in Europe for the days of nationalism or something?
I just saw this last night and while it does push this idea of the immigrant crisis possibly leading to a new Hitler, it also humanized him and made him out to be an almost sympathetic character. They were clearly trying to show that evil can be subtle but at times I found myself rooting for him. Overall, pretty solid movie.
