The bar standoff is the best individual scene in any movie of that decade
>>
Def one of the best films ever made.

I wish Tarantino would do a similar movie set in WW2 like this with Til Schwieger cos I was so pissed he got killed off very early

The Big Lebowski.

holy shit that amazing cinematography.

did Tarantino keep the same cinematographer for all his movies?
>>
This movie is a cuck filter. They only redeeming point is Morricone's score.

Robert Richardson. He's done every Tarantino movie since Kill Bill, and works a lot with Martin Scorsese and Oliver Stone.
>>
>>68959335
What Morricone score? Tarantino uses a couple of his pieces from other movies, that's it.

It's a better movie once you realize that it's Allies propaganda similar to the film within a film that Hitler watches at the end. It's a movie that ends with Nazis cheering the death of American soldiers just before American audiences cheer the death of Nazi soldiers.
>>
>>68960921
Its even more underrated with a 60 year old Hitler alive and chilling watching films inside

King Schultz > Shosanna > Hans Landa > Jules Winnfield > Jackie Brown > Daisy Domergue > The Bride > Chris Mannix > Vincent Vega > the rest

Holy fuck, I just realized something about this movie.

Shoshanna was a Jew during WWII. And she HOLOCAUST'd the Nazis by burning down everything to ash.

Jesus christ the fedoracore cringe is strong itt. I didnt know there was so many doritoes eating /v/eddit crossposters here worshipping the mediocre neo-cinephile bait autheur and his memetic movies.

Back to IMDb you go children of r/movies and leave my art board alone.
>>
>>68964155
I don't think it is.
>>
>>68964155

It is. It's way too wordy and people literally explain every single thing they do as detailed as possible, reminded me a lot of Death Proof. I get he tried to go for that claustrophobic chamber play thing but Tarantino completely overdid it, either that or he was actively taking the piss out of the audience

>>68964366
I get that the fact that every 14 year old who begins to get into film starts off with Tarantino makes you perceive his work as juvenile, and that in order to seem more astute than those dilettantes you attack Tarantino as puerile, but if the script for Inglorious Basterds was slightly altered and made into play, it would legitimately be a Pulitzer Prize contender. There's some hardcore genius behind it.

It's his most literary work to date. It reads almost like a good book or play rather than a film. That density actually lends it well it multiple viewings

there's probably more than few more rewatchable films. unless you by rewatchable mean that it was so forgettable that you have to watch it again to remember what happened.

No it's not. What a dumb statement to make
>>
>>68967370
Enjoyed it the first time. Got bored the second time and realised it was just Tarantino being self indulgent.
>>
>>68966147
It reads like a bad book tbqh, and I don't see the density in this film. The plot is one layer deep and everything is explained to the viewer pretty clearly.
>>
>>68968249
Please, these lines are so fucking off that it's actually uncomfortable to watch.
Melanie Laurent actually admitted in a french magazine she felt embarassed with her dialog.

I really think Tarantino wrote the lines in english in its usual style then translated them word for word with a fucking dictionnary.

While filming he was probably to busy jerking off to the idea of having his words delivered in french to direct these two assholes and the awkward lines he gave them.

After this shit I don't say the crew should have raped Melanie, but at least someone should have burnt the nigger.
