How did Snyder go from this masterpiece to Batman v Superman?

my mom's husband cries like a baby every time.
You know to which scene I refer.

>A reading from the Acts of Man of Steel
>Scene 2:13: Selected passages
>3 And I heard a loud voice from the cinema saying, "Look! Snyder's dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and Snyder himself will be with them and be their saviour.
>4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more repetitive or safe or cheap comedy or quips, for the old order of Marvel movies has passed away."
>13 And so they hated him, and persecuted him. The critics crucified him and threw rotten tomatoes at him.
>14 But he persevered and gained strength from the audience, and so we will persevere.
>15 And he stands by the right side of the spirit of Kino, and draws inspiration from it, and so will his followers.
>22 During the filming of the port battle at Batman v Superman, Snyder was found wandering along the port.
>23 In one of such instances he walked on water while carrying an IMAX camera on one hand, which greatly terrified his cast and crew at that time.
>24 Affleck, out of fear, shouted "Snyder, if it is you, tell me to come to the water!"
>25 "Come". Snyder said.
>26 Affleck stepped on the water and walked for a few feet but then sank. He cried out "Snyder, hast thou forsaken me? Save me, oh dear brother!"
>27 Immediately Snyder reached out his hand and caught him.
>28 Snyder exclaimed, "Bin Muhammad Afflecki, why did you doubt?"
>29 And so the heretic one vowed to spread the word.
my best guess: forced justice league cameos from the DC heads + the possible editing out of important scenes such as "Communion".

Bvs was good. I'm still furious that mos is such an under rated gem
>>68953098
He crapped over Superman with Batman. He could have done a proper superman movie with his origin story out of the way.
At the end of Man of Steel Superman says "I'm here to help" So obviously he knows what he's going to do with his power. Then we see him getting a job at the Daily Planet and a nice smile at the end.
They threw that shit out the window and decided to make him controversial sad jesus.

This.
It felt like a great movie that had been tampered with.
>>68953293
but it's 100% in the context of Man of Steel.
Batman v Superman is essentially a movie about how Jonathan Kent was right
>>68953293
I feel we should have just got a mos sequel.
Batman was by far the best thing about bvs and I feel they focused on bats more than supes which really undermined Supermans role
>>68953454
A lot of Clarks scenes got cut because WB are greedy fucks
Wait for the Directors Cut
someone redpill me: who wins in BvS?
is it the united states, who lost untold immigrants because they were btfo by the dark knight;s rage
>>68953518
>>68953330
Shoulda just put the fucking ultimate cut in theaters. What's the matter WB, a three hour movie doesn't MOVE MERCH?
>>68953518
Yeah I remember back went set photos came out and I never saw any of this in the actual movie.
>>68953530
>batman laying waste to immigrants
KEK
>>68953694

If reports are to be believed it's much longer than 3 hours.
180min runtime doesn't usually go down well with audiences which is just another reason why lotr is a little miracle
>>68953454
Literally nobody gives a shit about superman. DC is finally starting to understand that their only bankable hero is batman. Expect him to be a major part of every new DC flick
>>68953741
Avatar made retarded bank and that stupid movie was three hours and felt like it lasted seven.
>>68953694
Clark actually has scenes where he investigates in Gotham.
>>68953741
It's just over 3 hours. Supposedly between 181-185 minutes
>>68953799
I wonder if he has scenes with Barbra Gordon.
>>68953741
I'm am so fucking ready to see this 4 hour monstrosity.
We are definitely getting it r-right?
>>68953756
I know. Which is a shame because superman is far more interesting than batman. Everyone gets caught up on how powerful he is
>>68953098
So we're doing that now, huh? At least Batman 5 Superman didn't have fucking in-movie ads.
>>68953792
Avatar was an anomaly supported by an immense marketing machine and James Cameron's clout. The standard studio shill summer blockbuster doesn't get the same auteur leeway
>>68953838
there is no 4 hour cut sempai
its 3 hours
dumb fuck websites said teh movie was original 4 hours because they dont know how to read and misrepresented an interview with the films editor.
>>68953838
Man of Steel was also 3-4 hours but none of what they cut out were complete scenes, just lengthy footage from scenes like B-Roll.
Batman V Superman's original length was also 4 hours but they cut it down to 3 and then they had to cut out another 30 minutes for the theatrical PG-13 version.
So the 4 hour version they're talking about probably isn't any different than the 3 hour.
>>68953160
Snydercucks are literally losing their mind right in front of us. What a time to be alive.
I honestly have no clue
Man of Steel was 10/10!
what happend
>>68953098
>>68953243
>Bvs was good.
It was the worst thing I've ever seen. I can't fathom how someone can sit through the whole thing without having a stroke.
>>68953518
Because he's boring as fuck.
>>68953674
Sure, the magic super ultra cut will fix this pos film.
>>68953792
Avatar is entertaining and groundbreaking.
BvS makes you wish for death.
>>68953145
>my mom's husband
Holy shit. Hahahahahaha.

Maybe the movie was audiovisual diarrhea. Maybe Zack Snyder is the worst thing nepotism ever produced. Maybe you should stop trying to fit in by pretending to enjoy garbage.
Maybe.
>>68954317
>Maybe the movie was audiovisual diarrhea.
For you maybe
>Maybe Zack Snyder is the worst thing nepotism ever produced.
What do I care if he is
>Maybe you should stop trying to fit in by pretending to enjoy garbage
I'm not and I genuinely loved bvs

Yes, nepotism, thats it
In before "his wife is a WB exec" she isn't. They both work together, for their own company
Stop projecting
