Of course its explaining to an audience that wouldnt have noticed these in the first place. but the shots speak for themselves though. And those are a few. Theres lots of good shots for the entire film, but watching the sequences is more enjoyable. Yates' are well done

book 5 is great but book 4 is fucking trash. you can tell when you read it that jk rowling had really bad writers block and padded the whole thing with that stupid triwizard tournament shit. not to mention that the entire book hinges on a ridiculous plan that makes no sense. why not just make some random object in harry's day to day life the portkey instead of the fucking trophy? the plan is so convoluted it's completely retarded. what if harry had gotten fucking killed or some other dude beat him and made it to the end of the maze? harry basically relies on luck and scrapes through by the skin of his teeth so the entire plan could have easily backfired.

That's simple, though. You can't portkey in or out of Hogwarts due to protection magic. The ministry changed the spell to allow the cup portkey because they're showy faggots. Voldemort knew this due to his inside people in the ministry(the tournament had been planned for years), and planned his whole resurrection around it.
None of the kids were ever in real danger during the tournament, and Voldemort hedged his bets by having Moody help Harry along AND mind-controlling the other contestants in the final maze. I'm pretty sure they even made sure that Harry's path was easier than the other's.
The actually stupid part is Harry's entrance being accepted just because some old cup spat out his name, and the whole thing not being redone since someone had obviously interfered with the cup. It's "there's no rules against dogs playing football!"-tier of bullshit. Why the fuck would you go through with it if the contestant doesn't want to do it, the other two schools are calling bullshit on it, and even your own pupils are mad about it despite it giving them a home-team advantage? That's not even counting the fact that it's most probably a dark plot to get Harry killed.
