It's a BB for grown-ups. Stakes are at first glance very low-key compared to Walt/Heisenberg, and that's why some people complain that it's boring, but in truth the show is actually just much more realistic than BB and it manages to dramatize nicely the struggles of a normal person with issues.
You'll either love or hate the constant BB allusions and easter eggs because they sometimes really are fanservice, but put that on the side and the show is great and organically written, works well as a standalone show, and is definitely worth watching,

plus some witty references to BB in dialogue (2-3 references per episode) which will probably go completely over your head because you're actually trying to follow the plot, and not pick up witty callbacks in order to brag on reddit
