Snoke is not Darth Plagueis the wise, and I am going to go over how it cant be. Now we all know that Disney took away the old stories and threw them away, with the darth plagueis book created a mere few years ago. Darth Plagueis though was a mun and was part of the banking system, like most muns are and this was a vital part to his rise to power. Without him being a mun how would of he rose to the power in the banking system at all? It would not even make sense. Plus in the canon clone wars you clearly see the muns in the banking episode still in control of the funds of the republic and CIS. Snoke is clearly not a mun from his overall physical appearance and looks like a human that has been manipulated from the sith judging from his skin tone being light grey and his boney overall appearance. Though you don't have to be a sithlord to go through these manipulations, this is where I believe that he was a inquisitor of the empire under the rule of Lord Vader who was in charge of following the rules of Order 66 to eliminate the remaining Jedi. I believe he might be a jedi or even a old master / guard of the jedi temple but there is not enough evidence to support it. Though this would mean he was part of the end of the clone wars, and was part of Vader's order possibly forgotten and terribly injured by Luke Skywalker after his master's death as he seeked revenge.
