There was an anime panel where Steve Blum said he'd met Keanu. Keanu was a big fan of Blum's work and expressed that he's been advocating a live action CB movie for years, but he's probably too old for it to come into fruition at this point

I think he was the one that pitched the movie many years ago, but it didn't pan out because the projected budget worked out to something like half a billion dollars.
