Doctor Doom had a healing ray machine which could regenerate full-body third-degree-burn patients to full health in a day. Doom being a dick never gave it over to the world.
Reed on the other hand once has had possession of Doom's castle at least twice since the introduction of the machine,
And not once did he even try to duplicate or reverse-engineer it for the world.
And it's not like Reed doesn't know it exists because it was used one time in FANTASTIC FOUR VS. X-MEN run.
