They pussied out of making Elsa the villain.
They made this change extremely late in an already-troubled production, and as a result the second half of the movie is a messy attempt at finding an ending that the first half wasn't written for.

This. "Let it Go" works as a radio hit, and would have worked as a villain song, but it doesn't work in the context of the final movie. She's singing about finally being herself, which I think was pandering to the bloggers at Slate and Huffington Post, but in the context of the movie, why is she so happy? She's free to shoot ice out of her hands and live in a big empty ice castle. That's it.

The movie is fucking perfect. The only problem I had was the fact that the the 5 year old Anna had a different girl who provided her singing voice rather than the one who did her speaking voice. All the characters should be played by actors who would do both the speaking and singing parts.
