I am saying that even IF all the way up to that point when things became "obvious", that the organization had been corrupt, that that determination was not supported by any of the facts or circumstances up to that point.
What I am disputing about the historical record is how it was perceived and how people think the series of events unfolded and what determinations people were able to make as these events occurred.
