Live action prequel or no buy
I've been thinking for a while that's it's god damn loony how WB doesn't make a Matrix cinematic universe. The original films all made hefty profits, with Revolutions performing the worst (still made 4x (!) its budget). Hell, Reloaded made almost a billion in 2003 and had a strong as fuck overseas showing.
Audiences forget bad movies after a while, just look at Jurassic Park 3. You can tell tons of stories in the world of the Matrix, from Noir to action to romance to existential drama. Put a competent lead on the project and hire some good writers and you'll have a smash hit on your fucking hands. Just keep the Wachowskis the fuck away.
