Hello /tv/. I have PTSD. What are some calm, relaxing films or shows? No serious violence, ominous music. It shouldn't be rushed or moving too fast. Not necessarily slowpaced, but not rushed. I was able to watch The Tourist and some Technicolor films.

you want /comfy/ shows
Malcolm in the middle, Bobs burgers, The office are all comfy core
>>
nature documentaries, cooking shows, etc. check out PBS programming because they usually have very relaxing (yet sometimes boring) shows
>>
>>68903250
I hope the /tv/ wiki has some comfy charts. Thanks.

>>68903256
Oh, I haven't thought about that. I'll definitely watch some nature documentaries. Maybe watch Through the wormhole as it's narrated by Morgan Freeman. Thanks.

Anime, mild violence but not much.

the office (US version) is a really relaxed show up until the 5th season. it gets kind of messy after the season 4 finale.

some films:
Up in the Air (one of my favorite movies)
Dan in Real Life
The Descendants
The Way Way Back
The Terminal
Breakfast at Tiffany's
Perks of Being a Wallflower (main character has PTSD from childhood sexual abuse, not shown on screen at all)
Ocean's Eleven, Ocean's Twelve, and Ocean's Thirteen all deal with the planning behind heists with no violence
>>
Jiro Dreams of Sushi

literally the comfiest thing ever made.

I would describe how horrifying I find this hellish shit to be, but I'd trigger OP

there's nothing comfy about frantic demonic twitching and fart noises

pure 100% H E L L

Is this made by the same covert psyops unit responsible for Telly Tubbies?

I'd second the nature docs (preferably attenboroughs, his voice is sooo relaxing). Also if you find anything Bob Ross, definitely this. Twitch still streams on Mondays (I think)

It's not quite an official genre. It's not put on the DVD box so to speak, they use slice of life instead, but the viewers and creators know what it is.
It's called iyashikei in moonspeak.

Curb your Enthusiasm. Not quite what you asked, for I figure you could go for a laugh. Plus Larry is always right in his observations about daily trivial things and not so trivial things and it's something I needed in my life.

Maybe you'd like It's always Sunny in Philadelphia. Those people are pretty shitty, but hilarious. Plus they're bros and a weird family to each other.

Other brilliant comedy shows I would recommend are Look around you (a spoof of educational tv shows), the Peter Serafinowicz show (a sister show to Look around you, a parody of various tv and internet bits).

How about some comfy anime? You can't go wrong with something by Studio Ghibli, like My neighbor Totoro... Beautiful images and sounds and a unique fairy tale of a story.

Get well soon and happy Easter. (Greek Orthodox anon here.)

The man from earth

Decent pace, has a rather calm vibe.

I'd say Mad Men, but there's a couple suicides, a war flashback, and some accidents (that's all i can think of off the top of my head, but they're few and far inbetween). Also it can get pretty heavy occasionally. Not sure if that's going to set you off, but it's a great show if you can handle those moments
>>
>>68915952
tip top comfy, anon.

If any of y'all are Brendan fans, the following are amazingly comfy:

Blast from the Past
Encino Man
Bedazzled (2000)

Also, it may because I was tripping on ambien when I watched it, but A Boy and His Dog had a transformative affect on my entire state of being.
