The Warcraft movie looks like it's vidyashit, but it's actually capeshit. Warcraft was heavily inspired by super hero comics. All the super powerful beings, exaggerated bodies, colorful imagery, outlandish worlds.
That's the reason it's being made now. Because Marvel has been so successful. This movie looks almost like a Marvel movie.
