If anyone needed any more confirmation that movie critics on the internet are out of touch with the general population, look at the scores of Sharknado, and then look at Batman V Superman.
Internet critics are basically Reddit lurkers. They have nothing real to say about piece of art other than how it fits into their own little worlds. They are the most spoiled part of the art community.
Critics used to serve a purpose, when there were only a few places to find art. But now there are so many opinions on the internet, a critics new job is to shit on things, opinions, and people for having differing opinions about those things.
What really sucks about this is that people who enjoy movies like Batman V Superman now have to argue its merit with the angriest, most jaded individuals on the net. Which can be fun, but there's not charity in how they argue. They listen, disregard, then say whatever they were going to in the first place.
To put it short, critics make it really hard to enjoy the act of liking a movie.

Don't worry about it.
It's just Disney paying the RT reviewer to give it a low score.
Anyone with a brain can see how great it is.
Mark my words, in 10 years, it'll be seen as one of the defining movies of the decade.
>>
>>68894715

>>

>look at the scores of Sharknado, and then look at Batman V Superman.

>The Sharknado score is why RT sucks meme

Sharknado only has 20 reviews, and the critics know it's supposed to be a meme parody of a B-movies and the flick is good under those parameters.

BvS tried to be an edgy deconstruction of the Super Hero myth and failed miserable at that with the ridiculously cheesy script and in your face symbolism that crashed with the tone it tried to achieved, so the critics are rating it accordingly.

Why are you so adamant at defending this bs? Bribes happen, and if you saw the movie, you would know that it aint bad at all like the reviews make it out to be. Like I said, I am not even a fan of capeshit, I just like to watch movies and it was decent.

Really? Well I liked it. I dont think its a master piece either, but it certainly doesnt deserve its RT rating. Solid 7/10 at least. I am not even really into all of this, but my biggest gripe with these movies is how they constantly change the actor for batman. Kinda detracts from the whole experience to me.

I sincerely loved the film, I want to like marvel's stuff too but they are just too bland, nothing is interesting abou them
At this point their heroes -only mildly interesting one being the iron man- just create havoc and save the world from themselves

>>
>>68895677
Ill admit im a comic fan. I grew up on this and still do. Im excited to see the stories i grew up with translated to the big screen. Granted i understand that different series will have different motives for characters. ( the dark knight of batman will be different then new 52.) but there are certain things not even lore wise you dont screw up like luthor and doomsday. Plus the technical issues with the movie.
>>
>>68896057
See, that is where the big problem arises. People who arent invested into it, like me, just see a movie with no expectations, and based on that, of other movies that are available, we think that its okay. Perhaps you should take a note for of that, as a movie, it did okay, perhaps not to your specific tastes. But it wasnt deserving of that 29% on RT at all.

maybe there wasnt a bribe involved and most of you just sperged out on the lore or something. But it was good enough for me.

>>

Man it wasn't even just 'okay', if it had been the billion would have been reached in no time and people would be absolutely loving it. But it was straight up bad and even embarrassing at points.

>esta pelicula va a cerrar culos marvelitas

>>68896155
Maybe if WB/Snyder hadn't been smelling their own farts so badly and bragging about how BvS was going to blow any other capeshit out of the water and destroy the box office, people wouldn't be so disappointed/in stitches over it being mediocre.
>>
>>68896155
Even comic fan aside.
Luthor is as iconic as superman.
They made him cringeworthy and a sperg. How did you find that enjoyable to watch?
How did the worlds best detective get thrown off a trail by a pair of sunglasses after two years of researching superman. There are some more glaring issues with continuity
>>
>>68894821
Did Snyder and Aflac fuse?
>>
>>68896285
Well to be honest, it was my first time being all alone inside of a cinema, there was nobody else there. So perhaps the experience of being alone and being able to make the sounds that I usually make without having to look around added to the experience. I wonder if it is applicable to all movies.

>>68896449
Yea I agree on luthor, that was a pretty bad pick for him. But then again, I dont expect much, capeshits are all so horrible that you kinda go in expecting somekind of popular, jew created cuck persona le weed man being used somewhere. Well it was still worth my ticket somewhat. Perhaps because of what I wrote above this reply.

Critics really do have some sort of double standard in regards to Marvel vs DC

BvS was all sorts of flawed, but was still way better than this piece of shit.
>>
>>68896672
Thor 2 was just mediocre and forgettable, it deserves a 6.
BvS was outright bad with a gigantic mess of a story.
>>
>>68896543
I will though admit that there were striking scenes and i did enjoy myself with it. I did find myself enjoying parts and the pacing was not bad at all. It did not feel like a two and a half hour movie. Me personally, if i was wb id either have snyder with a development team so he can make a more cohesive story or can the guy because what he is doing isn't good for wb at all.
>>
>>68896543

>being able to make the sounds that I usually make without having to look around added to the experience.

>>
>>68896794
Well it wasnt that hard to go away from the 29% "the world is burning, everything is bad idea", then again I doubt that many of you have as low expectations as I do. Tomorrow il probably go to the civil war thing and expect nothing good again. The only thing that matters to me if its worth my ticket really, and it was.

>>68896877
I just used to laugh at when politically correct things are put forth awkwardly. Strong females, niggers and other things. I doubt that I can do that in a full cinema without getting weird looks.

Reviewers these days, as well as people here and other places online, aren't reviewers anymore. They just post their reactions. No one takes the time to fully digest film, television, music, etc anymore.

I can't tell you how many times I've seen/listened to something and either hated it or loved it, only to come back to it a few months later and feel the opposite. Which is mainly why I dislike reviews in the first place.

With BvS for instance, it is easier for a reactionary reviewer to watch a Marvel flick and enjoy it because it's just surface level and fun. Whereas with BvS, it's a movie that needs to thought about, isn't holding your hand. A movie where you might need to watch it again a month later.

I'm not saying BvS is amazing, it certainly has it's flaws, but 27% for a movie like it is just ridiculous.

This. It's painful because even though I enjoyed this movie more than the marvel memequips I also feel sorely disappointed, but I feel the need to defend it, I feel protective, paternal if you want, towards BvS. It's like that ugly nerd in highschool nobody liked and some people bullied, you don't like that much the guy but you hang out with him out of pity and you defend him against bullies, because other people are much dumber and obnoxious (Marvel) and everybody likes them
>>
>>68898388
This is just sad at this point.
If anything rabid dc/snyder fanboys are the most obnoxious.
At least marvelfags know they are shit posting.
Dc/snyder fanboys try to sidestep actual criticism by parroting "it's too smart, its mature, or not ment for the masses." also they act like the movies they worship are somehow better than other capeshit. It's the dc fanboys that make me not like dc.

But it's not "just okay." There shall be no quarter for that kind of stages of grief bargaining. It is exceedingly bad with a few good parts. Lex Luthor is a mess. The script is a mess. The editing is mind-blowingly bad. The MARTHA plot pivot was a movie-ruining misfire. And Doomsday was big stupid dogshit. And then you get into the fact that Batman is the Punisher for poorly established reasons, Superman is still fucking Space Jesus Dr. Manhattan, and Lex is a Ledger Joker knockoff that is literally too stupid to differentiate between God and Space Jesus. It's a 2.5 hour movie and the only things worth a shit in the movie are the Batfight to save MARTHA (even though the entire setup to that is belligerently stupid) and most of the BvS fight (even though it's like 3 minutes long and ends terribly). Everything else is dogshit.

You know the movie was a failure when the only thing nice people say about it is 'haha it wasn't as bad as the critics say'

It's fucking BATMAN VS SUPERMAN. Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne in a theatrical big movie for the first time. It should have knocked our fucking socks off.
>>
>>68901655
I wouldn't say that because Batman and Robin was at least enjoyable for the sheer silliness and so bad it's good. It also had Ahnold being as over the top as he possibly could be, which was entertaining enough as it is.

BvS was just lame. It wasn't bad, it was just lame. What could have been, what SHOULD have been awesome was thoroughly lackluster. Snyder fucked Supes so Cavill was stuck with a useless mopey lump of a character. Lex's casting/portrayal was atrocious. Wondy was absolutely miscast and suffered greatly for it, you can't really believe she's Wonder Woman. Batfleck was the only decent thing about the movie, but he couldn't save it all. It's telling when the best scene of a movie is the first few minutes. That was some fucking amazing shit! And then the rest of the movie happened.
