Captain America can just lift the hammer with the table attached to it.
But it doesn't happen. Why?
the table isn't worthy
>fear
>>68885961
The hammer doesn't move because it doesn't want to move, not because it's heavy.
>>68885961
Wait if he lifts the hammer does that make him Thor?
Whosever wields this power, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor, right?
>>68886086
>Wait if he lifts the hammer does that make him Thor?
Odin's enchantment would give him Thor's powers yes.

Cape-magicks Anon.
Of course he could lift the table with the hammer on it. But the magicks say that only those who are worthy can "wield" the hammer. Lifting a table with the hammer isn't wielding it. Thor could put the hammer in a pillowcase and anyone could carry it around. But they still couldn't wield the hammer directly.
What I am curious about is, why isn't Cap worthy? I thought being worthy had to do with your honor and being a warrior. Or maybe I'm confusing MCU with a half-ass interpretation of the comics.

I read something awesome recently that explained this. Captain America is first and foremost a soldier and leader of men, but is not capable of leading a people. He is a great man, but his first instinct in a crisis is to put boot to ass. The first Thor movie's main plot had a lot to do with how similar Thor was to Cap (they both resolved conflicts with violence, they both express blind patriotism and are beloved by their people as shining examples of their culture), but Thor grew out of that phase to become a more well-rounded being. You can also look at how Cap is from WWII, arguably the last conflict in which American soldiers were (and still are) considered to have been mostly in the right. Imagine if Captain America had been a vet of the Vietnam War, or the Iraq War? He's a symbol of the righteousness of fighting for a good cause, but a great leader and potential ruler of Asgard he is not.

so wear gloves and anyone can use it?

Literal the second thing Tony tried.
>>68885961
can someone shoop happy Evan's face on this?
>>68886741
That's shit. We've already established that Cap can lift it just fine, he just doesn't want to embarass Thor
>>68886238
it did move a little bit tho

>"Nothing"
Sure, that's why you shitted your pants.

You can wield a weapon with gloves on. You can't really wield a weapon in a pillowcase on when it is laying on a table.

Could people who are not aware that they are lifting the hammer, lift the hammer?
I mean, does the magic needs the person to be aware of what they are doing in order to work?
Hypothetical scenario, Thor sticks his Hammer in a suit case. Someone comes along and picks up the suitcase to put it somewhere else, because c'mon Thor, you left your fucking suitcase in the middle of the living room. That person is able to do that because Odin's magic detect they aren't trying to wield Mjolnir.
Does that scenario makes sense?
Also, would someone good, who is selfless and doesn't want Thor's power, be able to lift Mjolnir ("He who doesn't want to have great power, should deserve it").
And in the comics, the Hulk is able to pick up Mjolnir out of brute strength. Does that mean Odin's spell can be overwritten by complete badassedom?

There you go brother.

I'm not well versed in marvel
What would have happened if Cap actually lifted it? Would he and Thor have to fight for control or does it just mean they can both use it?
>>68887665
Thor and Captain become one entity
>>68885961
He's worthy but not yet. Find out in INFINITY WAR PART 2
>>68887665
Nothing.
You are forgetting Vision lifted the Hammer and gave it back to Thor.
It just means the person lifting is worthy. If they want to take on Thor's mantle is a matter of choice.
