They used rthe footage of the original actress in Mystic Force where she had appeared in both Zyuranger and Magiranger. The happy ending as a good guy was a tribute to the actress who died. Which is fine, admirable even.
But in the canon, she's a servant of a universe spanning evil organisation whose sole purpose is to destroy all goodness in reality and assume absolute control. Her father rules an entire galaxy, her eventual husband is a flayed man with chrome bones, her boss is the embodiment of evil.
