>English movies outside of Terence Davies
no thank you
>>68813589
Why does English people have so pale skin and why are their eyelids so red?
>>68813589
I don't 'get' this movie. I've watched it 2 or 3 times and I want to like it but just can't manage.
If the gay uncle was cut out of the whole middle act it might be more enjoyable.

It rains 80% of the days in England so they've never able to go outside. The other 20% of the time they fear going outside due to the constant surveillance. Due to the weather and the cameras the only thing the English can really feel comfortable doing is drinking in pubs.
England seems horrible.

no Sun and everyone is a drunk
>>68815009
It was on purpose in this film because they're shut-in alcoholics who get no sun, but also it's like that in real life because we're all shut-in alcoholics who get no sun.

how do we make England great again?

What do you have against pubs?
>>68815191
Nothing. I spend a lot of my time in pubs or drinking at home and reading/watching movies. It's a great way to spend time. I just don't know how I'd live without sunny days. Getting through Canadian winters every year is depressing as fuck. I don't know how they slog through that constant rain all year round.
You're in the pub's lav and this guy comes up to you and questions your heterosexuality. What do?

What is FPBP?
>>68815371
Pretty much what Withnail did, except I play the mental health card instead.
"You wouldn't hit someone with autism, would you? It'd be all over the papers."
Makes tough lads back off more than saying you have a heart condition.

I called him a ponce.
Now I'm calling ye one.
I've gone on /tv/!! By mistake!
Inbetweeners, Peep Show and the Office
>>68815371
I'd go outside and discuss it sensibly in the street. Unless he fucks arses in which case I offer my sweet perfumed anus.

Are You Being Served? is still the funniest thing I've ever seen come from the UK's television programming. Yes, I'm old.
