What are some lost films/TV shows that interest /tv/?
>>
The Jungle (1914)
>>
>>68791921
Apparently this isn't real and is a part of a money laundering scheme.
>>
>>68792490

Now that you say that, I thought it was weird people kept getting dead ends even though there WAS some sort of management.
>>
Werner Herzog's short film from the 1960's featuring two children. He claimed that something terribly happened during the shoot and he never wanted to release the footage.
>>
>>68792517
I just watched this which was recently made and it really does some weird. Give it a watch, there's some weird shit in there. Some stores can still request to order it, but nothing comes out of it.

Black Pudding http://lostmediawiki.com/Black_Pudding_(Unresurfaced_Pornographic_Animated_Short;_1969)

And also the three hour version of Last House on Dead End Street just because I want to know how they stretched that shit out to make it three hours.

King Kong lost spider pit scenes
>>
>>68793024
>The infamous "Spider Pit Sequence" that was cut after the first screening. >After being shaken off of a log into a ravine by Kong, the crew members are attacked by a wide variety of creatures (including giant spiders, hence the name).
>The scene caused several members of the audience to scream, leave and in some cases faint, and as such was cut by Cooper himself from all following screenings, although allegedly due to the fact that it "stopped the story", and not the bad reception it received

God damn.
>>
>>68793200
Interesting look at what they would've looked like
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=x-2Tu87Vx9w
>>
>>68793257
Ah, that's interesting, thanks for that. I like watching this stuff.

Did you think the remake did the lost scene justice? Also, what do you think of the the remake coming out next year?
http://youtu.be/DTWYQhTT388
>>
There's quite a few missing Hitchcock movies I believe. One was found recently and restored by the BFI.
>>
>>68792822
Not really "lost", Lewis just won't let anyone watch it u til he dies.
>>
>>68793385
I feel the remake of the scene, while doesn't have that feel of the original stop motion, was a decent enough tribute

As for the new movie, yes. Skull island is a great and interesting place that can use a movie that isn't just another kong remake
>>
>>68791921
When I was a kid, I used to hear my parents talk about a tape. They argued nearly every night, but once things escalated to a certain point, my dad would just mention the tape and things would get quiet again. It didn't make sense to me at the time, but later I realized it must have been something my dad was using to blackmail my mom. One day when I got home from school, the entire house had been torn apart. Drawers had been pulled out of every dresser, there were open boxes from the attic everywhere, even the furniture cushions were sliced open. I looked around for my mom and noticed her car was gone. She must have found that tape because I never saw her again. I've always wondered what was on that tape.
>>
>>68793610
I wonder how it will go commercially?
>>
>>68793611
Nice story kid

Stotlz's Marty McFly was too serious for the film, so they decided to recast him. Footage of him is still in the film, during the chase scene.

I've been working on this "Day With Spongebob" thing for about a year now

>>68792490
I'd believe it, but I wouldn't say it's for sure what's going on. There's no solid proof of it, just a lot of circumstantial stuff.

>>68792517
Yeah, every lead we get is a dead end. Our biggest one was a few months back from someone who read the script but never signed on to the project. Still working on some stuff right now though.

>>68792624

Not anymore, pic related

I'll check out the video though
>>
>>68793926
Pan?
>>
>>68793909
I think most of it was filmed. When I was Googling this, I saw a link that said the footage might be released, so maybe it was?
>>
>>68793967
Nah, I was working on this a few months before Pan's video.
>>
>>68793926
It's a really strange situation. I'm probably wrong, but I swear I've seen this before I store or advertised in a catalogue (Australian here). What is your take on it?
>>
>>68793972
I know there's a few scenes released but in the Back in Time documentary, Bob Gale says they'll release all the footage eventually. I would love to see a rough cut of the whole movie with Stolz and see for myself how much charm he takes out of the movie without Michael J. Fox
>>
>>68792741
Arnold and Helga better kiss god damn it
>>
>>68794053
I found a list of the filmed scenes:

Among the scenes that were originally filmed with Stoltz were:

>(with Christopher Lloyd) Doc's first time-travel experiment at the Twin Pines Mall
>(with Crispin Glover, Tom Wilson, and others) Marty's first encounter with George, Biff, and Biff's gang at Lou's Cafe
>(with Glover) The scene where Marty is hit by Sam Baines's car (in commentary with Bob Gale notes that this was the first scene shot when filming began).
>(with Lea Thompson) Marty's first 1955 meeting with Lorraine (a still photo is featured on the DVD bonus feature, "The Making of the Trilogy")
>(with Lea Thompson) Dinner at the Baines' house
>(with Lloyd) The mind-reading scene
>(with Lloyd) The 1.21 gigawatt conversation between Marty and Doc
>(with Glover) Marty encouraging George to go into Lou's Cafe to ask out Lorraine. Parts of the scene were filmed from inside the cafe, with Lorraine, Betty and Babs in the foreground, and Marty and George seen through the window, a perspective not used when the scene was refilmed.
>(with Crispin Glover, Tom Wilson, and others) George attempting to woo Lorraine in Lou's Cafe. Marty punching Biff in Lou's Cafe
>(with Tom Wilson and others) Marty being chased around Courthouse Square on his home-made skateboard >(another stunt double filmed the run through the convertible)
>(with Glover) Marty describing to George the plan for the fake fight.
>(with Lloyd) Marty and Doc arguing over the "Do Not Open Until 1985" note
>>
>>68792903
Oh I get it. It's like The Grifter but for /tv/
>>
>>68794023
You may have seen it in a catalog, if anything. The creators' company doesn't usually do international sales as far as I know, and they most certainly never shipped out any copies of the film (we got in touch with the distributors, who never received any copies created for distribution but may have promo copies in storage).

My take? They made the movie or were close, but either never released it or repackaged it under a different name and sold it under a different company (which they've done before).

>>
>>68794151
Yeah, I think it was a catalog, which is weird if they rarely did international releases. Man, it's weird. I'm sure I saw it in a store, but I think I'm just mistaken.
>>
>>68794241
Can you recall which catalog it may have been in?
>>
>>68794203

I heard that the character being attacked by spiders, I think 1 of them got their skull crushed and was "gruesome" for the time. Also when Psycho was released, people ran out the theater from fear because of the shower seen
>>
>>68794356
In the diner scene where Marty punches Biff, it's kind of obvious too. The scene where Biff actually gets punched is filmed at a different time of the day, he looks younger and you can kind of make out Stotlz's face.
>>
>>68794369
Thanks, friend. I'll look into it (we're really desperate for anything at this point, if you couldn't tell)
>>
>>68794546
No problem. Maybe try seeing if Target Australia has their older catalogues archived? I remember my attention being drawn to it because of how strange it seemed and that it was unofficial.
>>
>>68794496
I'll try to remember that when I watch it again.

>In mid June 2012, during the taping of an episode of The Graham Norton Show, a heated exchange occurred between host Graham Norton and guest Russell Brand after Norton brought up Brand's ex-wife singer Katy Perry (who had only recently divorced Brand), and stating that he thought Brand had been "very dignified" about the divorce. Ignoring the statement, Brand turned to the audience for a moment, and then lashed out at Norton, stating that he had stabbed Brand in the back, and saying "My mum is here. She got upset when you dragged up my marriage". He continued with "I saw her cry, Graham. That’s the reality because it’s real people, Graham, that’s my real mum. I have come here to promote a film and you made my mum cry. I don’t see you as that sort of person, Graham". Norton, taken aback replied "I don’t see myself as that kind of person". Brand quickly followed up with "and yet you are".

There's a long-fabled version of Dracula that is thought o have been made in Russia in 1919 or 1920, but there's a complete lack of record evidence beyond a single entry in a film catalog book. It would be amazing if it was real and discovered, though.

The Jungle Escape (1924)
I wouldn't be surprised if most of you haven't heard of it. It's hard to get any info on it at all. No Wiki, no IMDB, no nothing. In short it was basically The Lost World (the silent one) and King Kong without dinosaurs or giant apes. These rich safari people hear about an ancient undiscovered island and decide to check it out. They spend a few days there doing what they normally do; taking vanity photos and stuff, then their party is attacked by a local tribe and it becomes somewhat of a survival film, where each member gets hunted down to the last. This plot is only speculative based on a variety of unclear second-hand sources, but it's the clearest one can get. Unlike other productions of the time that featured blackface actors in colored roles, the crew allegedly shot on location (illegally) in central Africa and forced the locals to participate without compensation. Other rumors of physical and verbal cruelty toward the black extras and even numerous on-set deaths persist to this day, but none of these accusations have been followed up on, mainly because the studio that funded the movie destroyed all its records upon closing down and a full cast and crew list can't be located. Some suggest these records were disposed of to cover up whatever the crew did to the natives, but we'll never know. Other online sources claim it was screened only a few times in late-1924 before the police started snooping around and almost discovered the truth about the movie. Those who 'claim' to have seen the film describe it as horrific and demented, bordering on violent exploitation. Others claim the violence in the picture was real, which would explain the death rumors. Other reports describe the dialogue and depiction of the tribe as extremely racist, far more so than most instances of racism in Hollywood films. Some say the last surviving prints, which were thought to be destroyed, are haunted.
That's all there is on it.

Mr. Freedom is a pretty damn underappreciated movie. Its on criterion but ill be damned if ive heard anyone talk about it. Its basically captain america written by william s burroughes.
