We don't know everything about her yet, as the movie stands, she is a Mary Sue, but once we find out her origin I'm sure it will be cleared up. My theory is that she either trained at Luke's academy when she was very young and was spared by Kylo and put on Jakku, or that she is born of the force and is the true chosen one since Anakin didn't destroy the dark side apparently.

And all the Jedi aren't infallible; see Qui-gon, Old Obiwan, the entire Episode two massacre...
It's simply not interesting to see a character go from a 9 to a 10 in a movie.
You want more than that, you want some setbacks, because that makes the victory taste so much sweeter.
You want a set up and a later pay off.
There is absolutely none of that in Reys character. She is also the only Jedi (so far) that simply masters the force and defeats a trained Sith within 30 minutes of each other. With NO training whatsoever.
Look at Luke. He got his ass handed to him and his hand cut off.
Then, as the movies progress, he learns from his mistakes and betters himself.
And even with that, he literally loses the last fight and needs Vader to save him.
So, the force doesn't make your character a Mary Sue, shitty writing makes your character a Mary Sue.
Accept that Rey was simply complete and utter bullshit.
