Do you like Claude Debussy? I've been a big fan ever since the release of his 1905 orchestral composition, La Mer. Before that, I really didn't understand any of his work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on La Mer where the 2 flutes, piccolo, 2 oboes, cor anglais, 2 clarinets, 3 bassoons, contrabassoon, 4 horns, 3 trumpets, 2 cornets, 3 trombones, tuba, timpani, bass drum, cymbals, triangle, tamtam, glockenspiel, 2 harps and strings. presence became more apparent. I think "Jeux de Vauges" was the compositions's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums. Listen to the brilliant ensemble playing of Lamoureux Orchestra . You can practically hear every nuance of every instrument.

Rachel's was a contemporary ensemble of musicians out of Louisville, Kentucky. That track comes off the album Music For Egon Schiele. It's their most "normal" classical work, considering a lot of their work deals with experimental things like tape loops.
It's strange that you're not really into it, Music For Egon Schiele has been described as similar to Debussy.

If you mean solely piano compositions I'm not well versed in that at all, or classic music in general Halberstram. Isaac Shepard? Doesn't sound like stuff you'd be into.
