But there's nothing wrong with the animated version. They didn't need to update that story. They don't need to update any of these stories. Even Snow White, a movie that's almost 80 fucking years old, holds up with kids today. It's charm is in its simplicity. The plots of these remakes are always convoluted, because it needs to be as fresh as possible for assholes who need to watch things brand new, instead of being able to appreciate the classics.
