They're awful. D&D wanted to give people more Oberyn because he was such a fan favorite, but they have no idea why people liked Oberyn so much. They took away everything that made him interesting as a character and left only the sex and the violence, then transferred it to his daughters, three characters sharing one personality that isn't even much of a personality to start with. You might as well just rename them Daggers, Whip, and Spear, because those are the only defining characteristics they've ever been given.

Everything in the South after season 4 or so seems like a completely different show than the stuff in the North.
The Northern parts of the show feel like Season 1, while the Southern parts feel like Xena. The sets, costumes, dialogue, and acting are just schlock.

The issue with the Unsullied is that they're soldiers, not guards. They were trained to fight in formation, and that's what they are known for, their prowess on the battlefield. So then you put them into a cramped street with only five of them, and randomly have them get ambushed by OP-Harpynigs, and they just get destroyed because they can't shield and spear up.
