I think I'm gonna check out more Jodorowsky (I've only seen The Mountain so far), and hopefully more Weerasethakul.
What are you gonna watch in your free time?
All these films have something in common.

How many movies do you watch on average per week when you've got school ?
>>68731837
Did you watch Kaili Blues ? It has a dreamlike atmosphere kinda like cemetery of splendour.
>>68733621
>How many movies do you watch on average per week when you've got school ?
It ranges from 3 to 1. I've been only watching one lately because I have a lot of studying to do.

What's mid right ?
What does /3x3/ think about the possibility of a /film/ board and where these threads belong?
No matter what, I feel these threads would stay the same (and rightfully so), but could perhaps help encourage the right kind of posting on the new board.
These threads are about the only place on /tv/ where you see both discussion of more obscure films and discussion of known stuff with actual interest in getting deeper into the medium.
Assuming the split calls for deep film discussion on /film/ and most else to be left on /tv/, where would you want to post?
Personally, I think as long as the discussion is purposeful and shows an actual passion for film, it doesn't matter really how popular or accessible the film is. I think to a degree elitism is ok and incourages lurking before shitposting, but there's no reason that, assuming the poster is able to form and defend his own thoughts, directors like Malick or PTA can't be discussed as seriously as Rohmer or Kalatozov

>>68738128
Hi, I was the first guy you tagged. What were the four films you liked? Judging by your ratings you seem like a swell guy.
>>68737286
I think that elitism is alright to a certain extent, but I feel like everyone is entitled to have anything as their favorite films. I'm sure regardless of the film, someone can explain why its one of their favorites or at the very least important to them. Its just that a lot of these threads boil down to people calling each other Reddit, and thats just absolutely pointless. Even if somebody has pleb taste, that doesn't mean you should shitfling without any effort to explain WHY you feel the need to shitfling. Either ask them to elaborate or just give them a shit rating.

what does "Seen" have to do with it? are you telling me people try to claim movies are their favorite even if they havent seen them
As in position 1 is a movie they saw and liked but maybe position 9 they only like the movie but never saw it? What are you talking about?
just r8 my shit up senpai
