it's almost been a month...and Civil War is nearing its premiere. This is just sad desu, how can DCfags even recover?
>>68700828
I'd go watch it again but they stopped showing it here ;_;
>>68700828
Godzilla vs Superman
still made more than Marvels 2nd movie
>>68700912
nigga I made a movie that made more than marvel's second movie
pick a bigger hurdle than hulk
>>68700828
>OP took the time to take that screenshot
>Probably has done this multiple times
>He's seething inside
>He's obsessed about a movie he didn't even like
>He fell for the company war bullshit and takes it seriously
This is the true power of capekino
What a time to be alive
If Suicide Squad, being the complete opposite in tone from BvS, is also torn apart by "professional" "critics" then it will confirm if the Disney shill job is real
>850 million is a sad box office now
what a strange world we live in
>>68701454
Budget creep is a hell of a drug.
I wonder if the industry will implode at some point.
>>68701454
>you are now aware that disney considered ultron a box office failure even though it made 1.4 billion dollars
its strange
By having the superior Ķīňo, a masterpiece whose depth will trascend history, and its relevance will go way beyond weekend sales at the box office
people talk about MoS and BvS more than marvel movies.
that's all that matters.
snyder is gonna make it work
MoS = Birth
BvS = Death
JL1 = Resurrection
>>68701503
I don't think it will fully implode, but there's definitely a ceiling approaching. Eventually, even with all the merchandising and product placement, the ROI on mega-blockbusters will become too thin and the bean counters will tighten the purse strings.

Nice try, but Marvelcucks are literally on suicide watch right now
>>68700947
Fuck off max
>>68701590
and the real BvS budget was higher
>>68701806
And that eventuality is the federal reserve raising the interest rate. Risk tolerances will drop quickly and big budgets wont get the funding.
>>68701454
850 million out of a 300+ million budget and starring 2 of the most iconic superheroes of all time, you'd think it would hit 1 billion without a sweat, but here we are nearing 31 days after release yet we're just at 800+ million
>>68701097
soo sye skwa will be worse than BvS
>>68702257
Wasn't it literally a 400 million dollar movie? 250 for production and 150 for advertizing?
This is embarassing.
>>68701454
>what is inflation?
>>68702621
400 something plus marketing on top apparently
>>68701759
So what happens in JL2, genius?
>>68702532
Not to mention the almost universal lack of competition in its most critical weekends.
>>68702686
more solo movies of the JL members following supermans example like the apostles and jesus or something
then the shit with the 7 headed gragon
>>68701759
kek only on this shit board.
Right now people are talking about Civil War and Star Wars, if they're not talking about who's gonna be the next president.
>>68702263
They'll still make big budget movies, they'll just be more discerning about who gets the biggest piece of the pie. Hopefully the era of the cheesey, ironically self-aware Bay/Emmerich style blockbusters will come to an end.
>>68700828
>dcucks*
in all honesty they make just make enough money to make a couple more films but this is just nowhere near what disney is making and share holders don't like it
>>68702532
>>68702704
LOL what was it's biggest competition? The Jungle Book? And it made a lot more in it's second weekend compared to the drop BvS had. JUST
>>68701759
>being this much of a faggot to obvious symbolism
it's not even subtle anymore and it's completely fucking bland and bullshit
>>68702897
And the Jungle Book was Disney to boot. It's about as JUST as it gets.
>>68702532
>>68702704
>>68701759
I really liked that last scene where superman is just standing there while his cape is just flying around. They really nailed the "god" thing in that.
>>68700828
I don't understand how this happens. I mean, it's not like you're just going to hear some random people saying the movie is bad and then you'll just skip it like that. Even less so when we're talking about fucking capeshit of all things. Those are just things you simply just watch, it's not an if or maybe, you just do.
>>68703343
they just watched it once, which explained the good opening weekend, but since they saw the reviews they were incentivized not to give it more money a second time and just torrent it
>>68703461
That would suggest the bulk of the budget of these movies come from people rewatching it and I find that quite absurd to believe, honestly.
>>68703490
>bulk of the budget
I mean the bulk of the profit*
>>68702667
>400 something plus marketing on top apparently
You have to be drain dead to believe this
>>68702897
You say that like the Jungle Book isn't a big movie
>>68700828
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VXAaZexNN1g
>>68703343
I think part of the lackluster performance is all the cinematic baggage that both characters bring with them. Yeah, they're the two most popular superheroes in the world, but they've been rehashed so many times that it's harder to get people as excited about it. Most people I talked to that've seen it were mostly excited about Wonder Woman.
This is a big thing that Marvel has going for them, even their worst movie generates a lot of buzz because the characters are still fresh to audiences.
>>68701759
>snyder is gonna make it work
Better get praying.
Why do you people even argue about this shit?
Both Disney and Warner Bros shares are too expensive for any of you to afford with your autismbux.
