The ending was exactly the opposite to what was suppose to happen. In the book Mowgli uses the fire to scare away Sheer khan but in doing so realizes he can't live in the jungle and needs to be with his own.
In this sanitized, formulaic pile of shit he doesn't use fire, kills sheer khan through the power of friendship, and lives happily in the jungle with his animal friends forever. How can anyone like this crappy movie.

She didn't sound like a snake at all though. She sounded like she was pretending to be a snake by occasionally drawing out her S's and hissing a little, but it really just sounded bad. She also has a very odd sounding voice, it's not seductive enough for a snake. Bill Murray sounded like a good lazy bear, Ben Kingsley was great as Bagheera, and Walken was hilarious as Louie. Scarlett just sounded bad though.
