Naruto threads were auto-saged by every poster on /a/ for years for a reason.
It has an awful fanbase because it is a 1-dimensional self-insertional, show that hypocritically goes against the themes it was setting up 3-4 times during it's run, because the author has no idea how to do character development properly.
In addition, it is plagued by terrible amounts of filler.
Bleach has slightly better production qualities and a much better plot, even if it gets a little ridiculous at times. It's filler is also much less and better.They both have excellent soundtracks though.

Well, I don't really pay attention to the fanbases of whatever show I watch or any series, so that's why my opinion of Naruto and Bleach is very different from anyone else's. And because of that, I mostly have my own perspective of what's going on in the show and I have my own view of it in general. Also, I don't like fanbases that much because most of them can be very autistic as fuck (like Pokemon's fanbase for example.)And I agree that both Naruto and Bleach's soundtrack are excellent, especially Bleach. In fact, I just found out that the same guy who did Evangelion's soundtrack also did Bleach's too.

He spent YEARS thumbing his nose at Lazzo over refusing to advance the myth arc and getting pissy at Lazzo for pointing out how stupid the formula of shit joke after shit joke, tribunal exposition scene, then song, and shit joke.
Superjail stole his thunder, meaning he had to start working on the arc and even then, Season three (which had 30 minute episodes) only had TWO TWO TWO episodes that remotely advanced the plot (the season premiere and finale) and even then, that too was him being pissy because Lazzo flat out ORDERED him to write actual stories for once.
Then there was the shit with the movie; he always wanted the movie to be a self-contained epilogue (wacky hijinks of the band on tour) and AS rightfully said no. He could have had a fifth season had he not kept pushing for the movie and being a dick about it. So they killed the fifth season and gave him an hour to resolve shit, which didn't even continue the plot thread of season four's finale as far as dropping the HUGE plot point of explaining what Selectia was, what Falconback was, and the huge cliffhanger from season four where Nathan was told that he had to write a song that would save the world.
