Do you pirate?
The interesting thing about this, is the movie industry showed the world, that we don't really have a problem with doing crimes if we can't be caught.
The biggest problem with 3D printer is that we know we'll friggin download a car in .04 seconds of turning it on.
Did you not learn from the ad?

How else am I supposed to watch a movie when my theater has a no singles policy?

Do they have showers?

Yeah, and through one of the biggest social experiments in the world, is people WOULD STEAL.
Almost everyone would steal a car if it was more convenient then buying a car.

They do, but they've started enforcing the no singles policy for those as well.

>a click of the mouse in your home and sitting there = pirating
>is considered a victim crime
This is the world we live in

Pirating should change the film industry so we stop getting money making films and bring back films from actual creative geniuses who care about their work. Imo everyone should pirate.
Also anyone would download a car if they could.

corporations are people too my friend!

The problem with the analogy is a car and digital media cannot be compared. Making two DVDs of the same movie is not the same as making two cars because the essence of the DVD is the media which is by nature costlessly reproducible.

I'm amused how this straw-man slogan diverts attention from the real issue that copying is not theft. Even the U.S. Supreme Court has repeatedly agreed on that point.
