I really like adventure movies, Pan's Labyrinth had blown me away. Any movie suggestions that breaths the same atmosphere?

no.
not unless you include Drop Dead Fred, BeatleJuice....
What about that film felt like an adventure film? Feel like I've been lied to my entire life in regards to it. Everyone made it sound like adult Alice in Wonderland when in reality 90% of the film is fuckin Spanish civil war drama and you get on adventure fantasy scene in the Pale Man.
It wasn't a bad film just felt like a completely different film than I've always seen it advertised to be. It was more war drama than anything.

that was fuckin creepy as hell. those horrific monsters! is this meant to be a tale for kids? it kinda is Alice in wonderland shit, but the whole thing is gruesome. Nazi's in the realworld (if i recall right), dead parents, etc, then in the dreamworld even cruel beings, not funny/cute creaturs as it would be implyied if the main role is casted on a little girl.

Fascists rather than nazis.

That's what made the film good for me, the escape from the gruesome reality of the Spanish civil war to a fantasy world.
City of the Lost Children and The Devil's Backbone
