How do you even pronounce YIFY?
THANKS YIFY
>>68653934
>"I was always of the mindset that I was filling niche, people with crappy internet and that are happy to watch a movie on their laptop for example."
Literally the one thing /tv/ never understood.

Thanks yify, another amazing 1080p upload, and only in 1GB!
>>68654076
Meant for >>68653958
>>68653958
i think it's an acronym
>>68654044
10/10 post thanks yify
>>68654044
We always understood. They're still ridiculously shitty encodes for the size, and if you're downloading to watch on a shitty labtob 1366x768 screen, why in the fuck would you even bother with a 1080p video?
You sound dangerously stupid. Thank u yiffay for creating a generation of dumb shits.
>>68654185
I don't sound as dangerously stupid as you do.
>>68654207
He's entirely right though. Why call something a 1080p rip if the bitrate is so low that it looks equivalent to 360p? people with crappy internet should download a 360p 1gb movie, not a 1080p 1gb YIFY one
>>68653934
>verified by "courtiebabe420"
I guess it doesn't take much to outsmart reddit mods
>>68654266
Or just stream it.
I don't get why I would download a YIFY rip when I could just watch something with the same quality online.
>>68654266
Resolution is important, too, not just bitrate. But yeah, optimally one should encode to a certain sweet-spot.
Thank you, based YIFY.
>>68653958
>Ha got the question all the time :P I pronounce it as "Yifee", so like yippee but with an F instead.
>>68654581
Please explain to me how streaming is better than downloading?
>>68654748
You don't have to download it?
You just press play and away you go.
>>68654266
>people with crappy internet should download a 360p 1gb movie, not a 1080p 1gb YIFY one
The 1080p still looks better.
>>68654748
streaming is downloading
>>68654776
480p 1GB bluray encode is way better looking than a 1GB 1080p bluray encode.
>>68654748
>Please explain to me how streaming is better than downloading?
It's not. It's only done by faggots who can't wait for a download or think they will get caught torrenting.
>>68654185
You guys wouldn't understand us Australians owe everything to him.
>>68654748
Literally watching this scene right now on TV. Weird.
RARBG replaced YIFY and they are doing a better job.
>>68654804
Why would you though?
I mean, obviously downloading a decent quality movie will always be better, but if you are gonna download a YIFY, because you don't give a fuck about quality and just want to watch something NOW, why not just stream it since it's the same quality?
>>68654900
Because YIFY quality is still better than most stream quality.
Streaming is the bottom of the barrel of piracy.
>>68654942
Then you need to be better at finding streams.
>Streaming is the bottom of the barrel of piracy.
I ain't disagreeing.
>>68654967
>Then you need to be better at finding streams.
Maybe, but 90% of streams I see are fucking terrible. YIFY easily beats them.
People stream over torrenting for 3 reasons: cowardice, ignorance, and impatience. Streamers are children.
>>68654748
>>68654942
I'm emotionally distraught trying to understand streaming. If your connection is fast enough to stream a yif quality rip, why not download to have complete control over the playback? Might be a 10 minute download.
>>68653958
>>68654707
you pronounce it the same as GiF but with a y
>>68655055
10 minute download for a 10 minute clip, that's how I understand it.
But what really boggles my mind is people hosting shared streams, watching movies all Twitch like. You lose ALL quality AND control that way.
>>68655055
Don't try to understand it. It's done only by retards.
>>68655024
>People stream over torrenting for 3 reasons: cowardice, ignorance, and impatience. Streamers are children.
Or you know, because there is no often reason to torrent it.
>>68655055
I usually limit my downloads so my internet won't completely die(it being really shit), and most streams use around the same bandwidth as my limit.
But I mean, I don't really stream stuff that often, most stuff I watch are 8gb rips, but I have to plan for that stuff since it takes around a day to download, which is fine and easy to deal with, but just sometimes you find yourself in the evening, really wanting to watch something, and instead of spending an 2 hours downloading something and not being able to watch it because it's now to late, might as well stream it since you ain't missing much in terms of quality.
>>68653958
you-fee
>>68655195
>I usually limit my downloads so my internet won't completely die(it being really shit),
Oh I forgot the 4th reason people stream: poverty.
>>68655235
I just happen to live on an island with shit internet. It's not the most expensive place to live, but it's a higher income area.

>2016 not streaming every show/movie you follow for free on primewire
have fun wasting space on shit you are going to watch once. this isnt 1990s stream quality is damn near HD on some hosts
>not even a pirate uploader does AMA on /tv/
w-why they ignore us?
It's a matter of personal preference.
A GOD.

Enjoy your YIFY files! Oh wait, those are gone!
im currently streaming vikings for free. i never had to search for a torrent and get put on some list + wait hours for the downloads to finish. i just type in the series and click on the episode anytime.
feels good man
>>68656192
>not having 5mb/s download
>not watching everything in the best quality known to man kind
end it
>>68654874
their movies are too big man
>>68656260
Your internet connection is too small.
wat u fags r talkin bout.
yify looks better that source material cus the custom filters.
prove me wrong? oh right u cant cus i am truth
never really thought about it that way to be sincere
Reminder that x265 rips are literally 10 times the quality of YIFY shit at the same size
>>68656301
And that's why we need heroes like YIFY, may he rest in peace.
>>68656260
For you.
>>68656313
I grew up on a CRT so I don't care about resolution that much and HD, if I can see the substance of the movie, and get it, it's the only thing that matters to me. That's why I was thankful for YIFY.
>>68654874
How do you even pronounce RARBG? Does it rhyme with "garbage"?
>>68656476

does this guy even know a 1:1 copy of a blu-ray is around 40GB?
>>68659554
That would be including everything on the disc though, not just the movie itself.
>>68656023
delete this

/tv/ BTFO
Thanks YIFY
>>68659554
>40GB
>literally uploading uncompressed video/audio
>>68659699
my point is that this guy probably thinks the 13GB encode is the uncompressed source, making him a full retard
He's literally the Peter Pan of the movie scene
A:10
V:10
Thanks as always YIFY, you'll never be forgotten.
>>68659737
No he didn't say that. He said "quality standard" which implies they've been compressed while maintaining quality.
The "original" here means the source i.e. the file YIFY downloaded and re-encoded to get new files which he uploaded. 13GB sounds about right for such files.
>>68654768
>you just press play
right, because it's so much easier to come across streams of movies than torrents.
/tv/ really is retarded.
>>68659699
they exist
>>68655850
Unless you use vlc to watch it then yes it will.
>>68655768
At least it's the best Riddick movie.
