I'll never understand how Office threads on /tv/ always get filled with nerds who hate Jim because he is the "cool guy." No Office character is supposed to be cool or perfect, the point is they're all people with multiple sides.
Jim is smart and creative as his pranks on Dwight show, but he's also an eternal slacker with no ambition. He's not a Chad nor a jock, he's just the normal guy who's lost and basically doesn't know what he wants from life. Just like Michael is a very competent salesman and branch manager while also desperate for attention and friendship and Dwight is a hard worker with some outdated views on the world and nerdy hobbies.
Also ever calling him a "bully" is the biggest retard argument ever as his pranks were never harmful, Dwight pranked him back a few times, and he was shown to care about both Michael and Dwight multiple times throughout the show, making it clear it was just banter. He might've thought Dwight's relationship with Angela was funny, but when it ended and Dwight was crying in the stairs, he stood by him and consoled him.
