Wow. Haven't seen one of these threads in a while.

Nothing pretentious about it, great film, produced impeccably without the meddling of third parties, just a guy with complete control over his own script. Really inspiring stuff, but a great movie in its own right, too. I've been putting off watching his second film because I know the third one is still some years away.

I thought so, I justdon't want to watch it you know? After Primer I thought "I wish I hadn't watched this so I could look forward to having a perfect film to watch", which doesn'tmake sense because I would have to watch a movie to know whether it was perfect, but when UC came out, I could have that feeling, and I do still. Is it worth it to watch it now, or should I wait until his next movie is in post-production? The question doesn't even make sense, I guess.

Yeah Upstream Color is one of my favorite movies ever. So comfy and complex, visually simple but powerful and beautiful.

He just has such control over every aspect, a shame A Topiary never saw the light of day, the script is fucking nuts.

Near perfect film.

Upstream Color though is hipster garbage to the extreme.
