>People cant differentiate between flicks, movies, films and kino
>They think anything that's good equals kino, and anything that's bad equals flick

You do know that there are bad films and good flicks? worthless kino and and excellent movies, right?

Stop embarrassing yourself.
>>

>>

Sup newfriend.
>>
lol did this guy just unironically use the term "neo-/tv/" and then structure the rest of his post around a neo-/tv/ meme
the irony is blinding
>>
The real question is where do we include cinema in this list
>>

differentiating between flicks, movies, films and kino is a neo/tv/ meme, kid. back in 2010 even the word film was very rarely used here, everything was just a movie. seeing someone spouting kino is the easiest way to spot a 9gag tourist
>>
>>68616682
got em.

we really shouldn't include joints though, thats just fucking sad
>>
>>68616582
I have no idea what you're talking about
>>

Right below cinéma
>>
heres a 2015 example just so these idiots maybe get with the program.

>kino
victoria

>cinema
the assassin

>film
ex-machina

>movie
sicario

>flick
fury road

if you don't understand how or why or worse, think the top examples are automatically "better" you legitimately don't belong here and should either leave or lurk.
>>
>>68616582

Using kino is literally neo-tv tier

How autistic does someone need to be to invent their own special terminology for rating movies and then getting pissed off at random strangers for not following that same list?

Oh great OP, please share your wisdom and differentiate these different forms of visual media because we neo-/tv/ users have no real knowledge like one so intelligent as you!
>>

But "flicks" ARE bad and film IS good. The same way that McDonalds is worse than Misoguigawa.
Aren't isn't supposed to comforting nor is it supposed to appeal the dullest versions of your senses. It is supposed to challenge you emotionally and visually. Present you a perspective which just isn't possible to express with any other medium. People nowadays just want to watch a man in suit shoot cgi at another guy and from the initial view you can pick up what's going on without even contesting the orthodox perspective of life, the universe, and humanity. You just don't get the same level of sentimental output from big explosions, droning music, and trite characters as you do from kodak, open shots of the ocean, and black and white.

The greatest misconception that the vast majority of viewers have bought into is that you watch something to have "fun". No, you watch something to have an experience.

The fact that it was shot in one sequence doesn't make it kino you pleb. It's just a bad movie
