When did capekino in the early 2000's turn into the capeshit that we see today?
When Marvel proper decided to ruin the party

Capekino hasn't ended, it's only just begun.

I wish you would both take it easy!
It's actually pretty weird. At some point these movies totally gave up on trying to be films based on comics and started being straight up presented and written like tbe worst of lame comics. I think it has a lot to do with the Disney purchase, The Avengers, and the lowered cost and higher presence of good or decent CGI. Look at the stupid cheesy group shots in both Avengers installments that would have never happened five years prior
Somewhere around 2012 these movies started to turn into fucking cartoons.
You only think those are better because of Nostalgia, they're the same thing as the shit now days.

Spider-man 1 and 2 were art. You can see Raimi's style and his quirk. They weren't quite the focus group generic horseshit that Marvel studios and 20th Century Fox pump out these days.
>>68608329
For DC, The Dark Knight.
For Marvel, Iron Man.
>>68609186
Not really a fan of X-Men but Spider-Man 2 is one of the greatest American blockbuster movies ever made.

>Talking shit about Raimi's Spiderman
3 was shit, but 1 and 2 were great.

Iron Man 2
Civil War is literally in kino, like it's it lives inside the concept of kino transcending beyond
Should I watch the later X-men movies? I've heard nothing about the ones after the first 3, I liked the first 2.
I blame TBBT, Disney buying Marvel and Comic-Con becoming casual/normie central

First Class and Days Of The Future Past are pretty good
>>68608390
Kino is hand drawn pictures. so that would be cartoons. it's just like calling any movie a talkie if you were talking about silent films only.
>>68611083
That's pretty unnerving

Catwoman had some of the best kino scenes of any capekino. Look at this quality direction:

This right here, Iron man was the beginning of all this worthless pleb shit.
Spider-Man 3 was a bad capeshit movie but still a pretty good Sam Raimi movie
>>68608329
I miss when capeshit had some depth. Spiderman 1 and 2 were sort of coming of age stories and delt with Peter deciding who he wanted to be and what was more important to him.
X-Men had was about diversity and almost felt like an analogy for the gay rights movement (considering the director is a massive faggot).

Marvel's own film studio didn't exist in early 00s.
>>68610973
First Class was good, much better than X3 or Wolverine films.
>>68613804
Spider man 3 was better than anything made by disney/marvel.

Catwoman was a reject from the 90's though, it spent a decade in development hell.
