Generally, when gays are in a society where they're allowed to integrate and succeed and live a normal life, they do, at the same rate as straight people. I've also known gay people who ARE crazily flamboyant and promiscuous... and almost every time, there's a pretty dark story behind it. Sexual abuse in childhood, kicked out of their home at a young age, no relationship with their parents or family, stuff like that. It doesn't come from nothing, most of the time.
