You could cut out the last 20 minutes and it would still be too long. The movie blows its load in the first five minuses, and by the time they were time traveling and riding dinosaurs I couldn't have been more bored.

Kung Fury doesn't have a single joke that hasn't been executed better elsewhere.

OverTheTopKino was shit way before Kung Fury was even in production. Just take a look at IronSky only the first scene is good thanks to the music then it's garbage

Because they don't actually watch antyhing pre-2000, just like in our dank memes. The NEON EVERYWHERE synth-pop aesthetic is itself derivative from Miami Vice, which actually originated it, and everyone who wanted to simulate the 80's just aped that.
If they actually took the time to look at the 80's action movies, they'd know that these thing weren't there at all.
The only thing close to what they are thinking about were Cobra and Commando, and even then Cobra is moody as fuck, even despite the neon-lit city street montages.
