Movie should have just been about Tom Cruise as part of a "clean up" crew, killing alien remnants and salvaging their tech. Titan colony should have been real and the climax should have been about Tom's refusal to leave Earth and his partner trying to convince him, alien horde fucks shit up and Tom tries to wipe them out, and by refusing to let go he becomes stranded on Earth, left behind with its memory.
