Scariest for me was Jeepers Creepers. I was about 7 when I watched it with my older brother, and it terrified me for over a year. I had night sweats , and was scared to go outside at night. I had a very active imagination as a child, so I would constantly terrify myself at night.
Now as an adult ...movies don't scare me to be honest. Blair Witch was probably the closest one to actually scare me. Also, Call me a pleb, but insidious startled me too. Especially the earlier scenes.
Finally, Evil Dead (2013) made me cringe so hard (pain cringes you see from watching gore) I couldn't watch it. However, I don't consider that being "scared". It's just literally painful to watch, for me at least.
I watched Hellraiser for the first time while I was baked.
Spooked me good. I really enjoyed George Lucas' cameo though.
The Shining is still one of my favorite horror movies, though.

The movie Arachnophobia gave me arachnophobia. It's one of the first movies I ever remember even seeing, I must of been about 6 or 7, and I've never been able to face rewatching it yet I still remember almost all of it because it's burned into my mind over 20 years later
