I miss 90 minute comedies and action flicks. 2 hours is more suitable for dramas, period pieces, planned out sci-fi fantasy epics. LOTR is a good way to do it; The Matrix and Pirates aren't, as they tend to be fun 90 minute flicks with an overbearing two parter following it.

Seriously, I love the TOS crew and actors but the show is fucking HARD to watch.
I also think that a show shouldn't bumble around for 3 seasons before finding its footing. ENT's death was unfortunate but understandable. Voyager was dog shit, I can't even get through the first episode. DS9 took two seasons to get watchable, and TNG only had like 2 good seasons in the middle, the movies were awful more than they were good. The best captains were hotheads like Sisko and Archer and Based Shran.
Autist characters best characters until T'Pol, unless you consider Hick McWrench in engineering the autist of that series. Into Darkness wasn't even bad. I keep forgetting about Beyond though, which doesn't bode well for the future of the current cast/crew and I don't think the new show will be very good because I've lost faith in everything as I've gotten older.
