Is this the pinnacle of anime-kino?
Are there any others that even come close?
No media has a pinnacle.

Will /a/ save us from /co/?I left after madoka but I'd rather you than the /r/eddit /co/mmunists plaguing /tv/ now
>Anime

Dreams.
>>68206337
Anime movies exist too.
>>68206248
All shitposting aside, I've been looking for years for something to make me feel the way I did during Madoka and haven't found it.
>>68206427
Anohana?
>>68206248
>anime-kino
>not the picture of DBE, Kite, or EoT/LDR.
dammit /a/
>>68206248
yes it is. and kyoanus is btfo.
>>68206427
Depends what you are looking for.
I was an avid fan of Madoka and I watched Anohana like this guy said >>68206445
and I loved it, but they are very different shows.
Did you try Evengelion? I'm assuming you did
>>68206248
Fullmetal Alchemist is the best anime-kino.
>>68206331
if you wish to be saved from the degeneracy you must acknowledge your demons and embrace /pol/
>>68206474
What does Kyoani have to do with Madoka?
>>68206248
I though Wolf Children was fantastic, and I don't really care for anime.
>>68206533
>Fullmetal Alchemist is the best anime-kino.
Get that trite out of here. There is nothing special or even enjoyable about fullmetal alchemist.
Especially when comparing it to things with legitimate artistic integrity
>>68206445
>>68206485
Anohana is great, yeah.
I hate Evangeliion. A lot of people will say it's very similar to Madoka, but the difference is Madoka has a satisfying ending and likable characters.
>>68206427
>>68206660
Did you tryRebellion?
>>68206691
Yes and I wish I hadn't.
>>68206777
At least we have the upcoming movie to retcon it
>>68206777
Rebellion was damn great if you just watch it remembering that it has no bearing on the tv show.
I watched it and enjoyed it, but I would never recommend it to someone watching the show. It completely destroys the satisfying ending the show gives us
>>68206824
I thought it was fairly mediocre and only really enjoyed the middle part. But yeah, it's the asspull ending that ruins the show's story and shits all over its best character that makes me outright hate it.

Reminder its a great time to be alive
>>68207296
I haven't even bothered watching that. Unless they retcon Rebellion or reboot the series, the series is dead to me.
>>68207350
Its not a reboot or anything because it directly mentions the events of Rebellion, I'm sure it will end with another retcon though
>>68207296
Nothing about this gives me any reason to be optimistic. It's probably just more milking an already finished story for more money.
>>68207523
>rebellion
>a finished story
desu If I could go back in time and stop them from making Rebellion, I absolutely would. But the damage is done, and now I just want them to fix their mistake so they can lay the series to rest.
>>68207598
I'm talking about the series, not Rebellion.
>>68207598
If you could go back in time you could just tell them to end the movie when Madoka arrives. They most likely intended to end it there, and then something possessed them to keep going.
>little girl weeb shit
Who will play Guts in the inevitable PG-13 live action remake?
>>68207645
That actually IS where they intended to leave it. The studio told the director that they wanted the story to be nice and self contained by the end. The twist ending was a last minute decision.
>>68207645
No likely about it, the writer intended that to be the ending and the director suggested the last minute "Fuck You" twist so the series could continue.
>>68206248
People kept telling me how great Madoka was so I watched it and it was incredibly mediocre. It really doesn't deserve a tenth of the praise it gets.
>>68207668
The characters are in middle school, and complaining about their age isn't any different from complaining that Star Wars has white people in it.
The series also has nothing to do with weebs, and neither does any other anime. I don't know where people have gotten this idea that a small, poorly defined group of Westerners is a prime target audience for an industry that mostly cares about its domestic market.
>>68207790
>they're not little girls they're in middle school!
>has nothing to do with weebs
>>68208046
>something that stars little girls is marketed exclusively to little girls
pic related was fucking incredible.
>>68208046
"Little girl" clearly implies prepubescent characters, and it has become a meme to call every female character 18 years old or younger a "little girl."
>has nothing to do with weebs
Again, do you really think an industry that's primarily concerned with its domestic market is going to go out of its way to target a small and poorly defined subset of foreigners? Not even most Westerners can correctly explain what a weeb is.
Time Stranger is about removing Kebab. Like literally.
