Can you recommend some eerie/creepy movies? Not looking for flat-out horror, but the kind of thing that will really creep me out or make me feel uncomfortable.
>pic definitely related
OP here, gonna start it off with some movies I find eerie/creepy.

Nightcrawler
Mullholand Drive
This really creep-ed me out as a kid. Really creates an atmosphere of unease.
OP again, I especially like things with a supernatural or surreal aspect to them.
The documentary "The Nightmare" was pretty creepy as a bizarre and unexplainable phenomena. Not a lot of substance to this one, but it is pretty creepy.
Polanski flicks, Borgman is a comedy but the premise is very creepy, Cronenberg's Crash
Dark city

The Conversation
Got me better than most horror movies are capable of doing.
It's difficult to find anyone who does it better than Lynch
Berberian Sound Studio is, I think, one of the best examples of this type of horror. Just weird as hell and really gets under your skin, with no explanation offered as to what is going on. Towards the end I was feeling really disoriented and disturbed.

Green-texted my story once here, but first time seeing this was in recovery at Landstuhl, Germany after taking an IED in Iraq. Was decently fucked up at the time, and loaded on painkillers. The experience and the movie was pretty disturbing in tandem
Why they had this movie for wounded broke-dicks is beyond me, but stupidity in the military is a very relative term.
The Vanishing 1988 dutch version. American remake is shit and all the impact of the original film is lost.

Most of David Lynch's films.
The Reflecting Skin
The story of your life.

The VVitch
In the Mouth of Madness to a small degree

the scariest part to me while I was watching was the thought that it was going to start happening to me. it seemed like whenever someone told a friend about this, the friend began experiencing it. i was legit afraid to go to sleep that night
Nice little thriller. Matthew Goode does a good job getting his creep on.

Does she show hairy pussy or legs/pits?
This was the first movie I'd ever seen Owen Wilson in, before he became famous. He was so down to earth, and such a "normal" person in this performance, that it really took me by surprise. If he never became famous, this would be a cult film.
