Kung fu panda is a lot like shrek in terms of quality between it's 3 movies
main difference is that i find shrek 2 t be really heavy handed with the references and KFP2 has none of that

I've heard all the criticisms, that it's too wordy, that it's nothing but a string of monologues, that it's preachy, etc. and I just disregard them completely. It's a wonderfully told story and it's dark, funny, moving and prophetic.
