What does /tv/ think of daybreakers (2009)?
Sam Neill Kino
Loved it. Had such an interesting concept that I don't think any other movies since have thought that far out of the box. Definitely under rated.
I didn't really get it, anon.

Sick meme

based rocco was great in it

Saw it years ago but I liked it.
One of my top 3 worst movies I've ever seen in theaters. Right after Dylan Dog: Dead of Night.
Serious garbage. I can't believe the previous poster have such a level of shit taste.
The ending sequence seemed off. Given the quick acting nature of the cure we should have seen an exponential growth of human guards. Instead we get the result which requires the guards to have continued to biting and killing each other despite being cured.

hmmm...i give you one portion for this meme

Previous poster here, I'm intrigued, tell me what was so shit about it besides "serious garbage"
>>68168590
that looks pretty chaffing
>>68169975
Poorly written characters, stupid try-hard message, an ending so bad the entire theater was laughing.
I made sure to avoid anyone related to that tripe for the rest of my life.
Great concept, poorly executed, meh main characters
Worth a watch though
>>68168590
had so much potential to be god tier film but went full generic towards the end.
>>68169815
I saw Dylan Dog in theaters too
I share that pain
>>68170347
>poorly written characters
Subjective to opinion. I thought the main character was interesting.
>stupid try-hard message
Elaborate, but don't EVER use that sentence to try to describe something in a movie. You sound like such an autist.
Let's be honest you sound like the kind of guy who's pretty lonely so you don't have any people to avoid anyways
>>68170490
i love both of these movies.primo shlock.

>Getting this buttblasted over someone not liking garbage-tier flicks
Keep projecting though, anon. I'd like to know more of cretins like you that literally eat shit.

Saw it in the theatre. That old faggot going ape about not having enough blood in his coffee is all I remember. Still makes me chuckle a little bit, though.

Interesting film.
Great to see Sam Neil and Dafoe together, two of my favourite non-regular A list stars.
There were plenty of flaws with the film, but a lot of pretty rare/unique things as well.
Overall while I certainly can't say it's a great film, or even a very competently made one given the resources, I'm glad I watched it. I wouldn't recommend it to everyone, but it has enough positives to be worth the watch, especially if you're forewarned about it having some downsides.
In the right hands a remake could be fantastic.
>>68168590
god damn that vampireinthekitchen scene is scary, i almost shat myself
>>68171017
>getting this buttblasted over someone liking a movie
i know you're smarter than that
Bump, because this is a film worthy of discussion both good and bad.
>>68171445
The idea of vampires having vampires is a cool one.
>>68168590
its shit but they made 8.7/10 kino after it
>>68169153
Agreed. Noticed that it could be seen as a sequel or spiritual successor to the original I Am Legend as well.
>Willem Dafoe
>actually played a hero
I think this is legitimately the worst movie I have ever seen. like I'm sure there are worse out there, but I so far this is the worst I've been tricked into watching.
I like the smoking in this movie.
>>68175707
from another perspective he's the villain
The Spierig Brothers always make a top film.
>>68168590
The opening scenes. The one vampire girl that looked like a 12 year old. When she brings the cigarette to her mouth, it looked like a fake hand or something.
If sunlight was a cure how wasnt that discovered at the start of vampire plague. There must have been thousands if not millions of cases of people getting into sunlight.
If at the end they discovred blood substitute, why cue vampirism at all when everyonecan live forever
>>68168590
Pretty good.

A type of foe you mean?
